WHO: Minato and youuuu
WHERE: The town, the woods, everywhere in between
WHEN: June 3 - June 10
WHAT: Lack of sleep does some unfortunate things to people, it really does. ie punishments really, really suck
WARNINGS: A lot of this is just very, very dumb
June 3/4
[At first, he's just miserable. A night or two without sleep is doable, but really, really awful, and so Minato can be found mostly wandering, restless, especially late at night. Which is very, very unusual for him (usually he'd be asleep by now), but don't mind him as he stalks about the town with his hands shoved deeply into his pockets, occasionally stopping to yawn massively and lean against a wall.
He always ends up standing back up pretty promptly, though, no matter how sleepy he looks.
Weird.
Or he might come visit at some obscene hour of the morning if he thinks your character will be awake, almost desperate to talk to someone to get his mind off of this. He will definitely knock on doors at all hours of the night if he thinks your character would sincerely be awake at that time of night.
Please help him.]
June 5/6
[It gets much, much worse. Minato's wanderings are almost desperate now; lying down does nothing, leaning against things does nothing, he cannot sleep no matter what he does and it's starting to take its toll. He's definitely stumbling, staggering occasionally as if drunk, and if you try to stop him he may not even process that you're calling out to him.
Hm.
Worrisome.
It probably comes to a worrisome head when he's crossing one of the bridges in Bluo, feet dragging--and then sways, and topples right off the side, blacking out for a brief moment. Bye, Minato.]
June 8
[At this point he probably shouldn't be outside but he's here anyway, and he seems to be...talking to a tree? He's trying, but he clearly thinks it's someone he knows, and while his voice is low and slurred, he is trying to legitimately have a conversation with this tree.
It's probably a good thing he stopped to talk to the tree instead of wandering into the woods in this state? Maybe you should call out to him...
But he's definitely hallucinating, and only seems to notice if he's not interrupted when he stumbles, and knocks his head against said tree, startling back to himself abruptly with both hands clasped to his forehead.
And then he thumps his forehead against the tree again, this time purposefully and with plain aggravation.]

Yeah, something is wrong.
[Unfortunately it's hard for him to move here. He assumes it's because of the punishments that Minato is acting like this; it'd be nice if he could go see.
Maybe he should message Vriska...?]
Is Vriska there? [He's going to guess in advance that he won't get a coherent answer to this.]
no subject
No. She's dasngkldmflgmkml;LASASd
[That's.
That's what you get when someone's face hits the keyboard.
He's so tired.]
no subject
There has to be something he can do...
It's more difficult than usual, but he can summon his Personas like this, like he can in the Velvet Room for the purpose of fusion or training. So he summons the one that he hopes will be least conspicuous.]
Dominion!
[A big angel with a sword is definitely inconspicuous. He climbs out the window and has it carry him and the ball and chain towards Minato's house!
This is a terrible idea.]no subject
Which Minato at least recognizes when he's picking his face up from the keyboard and squinting at the window and.
Oh.
Oh...??? There's someone in the sky...?
(It's taking him a long time to process this, but you know, it's fine.)]
no subject
Right outside Minato's window, actually.
He should probably open it before Akira breaks through it.]
no subject
So.
Incoming crash, probably.]
no subject
At least the ball is useful for something, as Akira sends it crashing through the glass, following through immediately after.
He lays for a second in the floor, before getting up, shaking glass off himself and shambling toward the other boy.]
Minato!?
no subject
And squints at Akira.
And squints some more.
And--]
... Did you come in through the window?
no subject
Uh... [He glances over his shoulder, as though it will magically fix itself.] ...Yeah. Sorry.
[He looks back.] Thought you were dying. [Is he dying??]
no subject
It's okay...
[But also like--]
Sorry, I've been.... [Nope, interrupted by a huge-ass yawn.
Yep.
Just that tired. He's on day 6 and running on empty and nearing some sort of psychological damage. Thank god this punishment is almost over, not that he knows it.]
no subject
Haven't been sleeping well?
[Or... at all?]
no subject
["At all".
That's where he was going with that, but it's then that he pries open his eyes and processes what Akira's wearing.
A beat.
And--]
... Velvet Room? [He thinks that makes sense, from what Akira's told him about his Velvet Room, and from what he knows about the punishments thus far--they seem to be targeting what will bother them the most personally.]
no subject
He shrugs.]
Yeah.
[It's... not a big deal! Mostly just annoying and a little embarrassing.]
It's hard to move quickly... [Hence flying around on a Persona.]
no subject
That's...
[...]
Is that real?
[Sorry, he's still half-asleep.]
no subject
Yeah. It's my punishment for stealing.
no subject
... ...]
You have to wear that in the Velvet Room?
[Bear with him, he's processing.]
no subject
[Maybe Minato can better see now why Akira would think his heart is a prisoner to fate. But it's not so consequential right now as...]
Maybe you should lie down on the bed or something.
no subject
... It doesn't help, so...
[SO...]
It's fine. There's a broom downstairs... watch the glass. [He's gonna go grab that before one of them cuts themselves and dies of fairy tale infection.]
no subject
[And with that in mind, there's no way Akira's about to let him climb the stairs. Or at least, there would be no way, except getting down the stairs means about an hour trying to get back up them, unless he summons Dominion again.]
Will you be okay?
no subject
[Probably. Either way, the glass has to be dealt with, so--]
Just a second.
[He's going to push himself up (he sways from the vertigo only briefly), and then he heads on down the stairs. brb, Akira. At least he doesn't trip.]
no subject
Thankfully, he doesn't hear anything.
He'll just wait here, then...]
no subject
It's... going okay, but eventually Minato's kind of swaying as he does. Hopefully he doesn't fall over.
He needs about 5000 naps.]
no subject
[Akira holds out his hand for the broom. The least he can do is clean up the mess he made.]
no subject
[Still, even as he's asking that, he'll willingly hand over the broom so he can sit down.
Thanks, Akira, you're the best.]
Sorry, I... I've been a little out of it lately...
no subject
[Honestly they're lucky Minato isn't hallucinating or tearing his hair out or something. At least, Akira thinks those are probably side effects of not sleeping.
But he will take the broom, and clean everything up as best he can with his hands shackled together. At least there's a lot of give in the chain.]
