It's raining, it's pouring. The old man is snoring. He bumped his head and went to bed And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. Please feel free to ask any questions here and don't forget to greet your fellow players here!

[ oh? oh but maybe they can? Mafuyu stops short and grabs for the backpack she's got and- pours out half a gallon of well water first- digs around for her pencil case, finding a handful of pens in blues and reds and blacks.

[Too bad Shiho isn't a precog or she could have told Mafuyu not to empty her backpack. Well... at least there's no water in it now?]

Save those. There's someone here named Iida who would probably be happy to see more pens.

[ She squints hard at the ground as she picks up her things and shoves them back into the bag, as if by staring hard enough, it'll be intimidated into becoming its normal bright greens. Predictably, nothing happens. ]

Can I bribe this Iida guy with pens to bring color back... I'd give them all, if that'd help.

Who knows? There are a lot of colours. [Though the comment about Iida does make her laugh.]

And I don't think Iida-san is the type to do anything for a bribe. He can't anyways. He's like us.

Well. Kind of. [Isn't he still a statue right now?]

But he was trying to conserve his pens and papers last time I saw him.

That's silly. I've had these pens for all two years of high school so far and I've never run out of ink.

[ They're not magically refilling pens or anything; she just doesn't write all that much, so they last. ]

You know where he lives? I'll go give these to him so I don't have to carry them around anymore.

Maybe he writes a whole lot more than you do? [Shiho's pens also last at least two years but she knows she does very little writing. Why write when you can also use psychometry to study?]

He lives in Bluo. He... [is a statue right now. Should she take Mafuyu to see him?? Ehhhh probably not? But they'll probably see him anyway, it's hard to miss the statue covered in flower crowns.]

Probably isn't home. But I know the house.

[ Same. Why write when you... don't study, to be honest. Mafuyu's interests lie elsewhere, centered around people and being nosy where she can, and knowing where people live is always relevant information, in her opinion. ]

Let's go see his house! We can surprise him when he gets home!

We might have to wait for a really long time for him to come home. You can come to my house though, if you want? Kaoru-chan might be around... [And there's nothing more distracting than a psychokinetic who likes hugging girls that she thinks are cute.]
