Intro Log.

It's raining, it's pouring.
The old man is snoring.
He bumped his head and went to bed
And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb.

The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun.

But most importantly of all... you're not alone.

Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time.

Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways.

Please feel free to ask any questions here and don't forget to greet your fellow players here!

[He'll open them and find they turn on, unlike his own, but he can't get them to go past the login screen - a word he doesn't even know, he can't get past the first part and will show Greed as much once he gets off his ass to come see. Since he can't do anything with them, though, they get to stay where they were.

Now, the rooms. Hmm.]

I'm not going to sleep on the floor.

[How long will they stand here looking at an unoccupied bedroom? Stay tuned.]

You really think you're sharing my bed? I don't share.

[Let him starfish as he likes, Ling . . . they've already slept together for six months, don't make him deal with your snoring when you're not even a part of him any longer.]

[Know that Ling nearly says Greed can sleep on the floor, but bites the inside of his cheek to stop himself doing that stupid, stupid thing and just shrugs, smirking a little. The infantile fit that would ensue...

Anyway, he probably doesn't snore that badly. Maybe.]

I have to sleep somewhere!
cupiditates: (confused; is #3 on the oh no no list)

Steal someone else's bed!

[Just KICK JOSUKE OR SORA OUT, LING, you're an emperor, it's probably fine! But he kind of knows the direction this is heading, and no, it wouldn't be the worst thing, it's not like he minds having someone to sleep with, but at the same time--]

[Since when do emperors steal people's furniture... Ling sighs and folds his arms, looking very serious about this dilemma.]

Do you think one of them will share with me?
cupiditates: leading into my bedroom (talk; on top of that)

Throw around your title, that'll probably impress one of em. And since when do you care if they'll let you? You usually just take what you want anyway.

[He sprawls on his bed as he says it, kicking off his (still slightly damp) shoes.

[Greed can you please, for once, read the mood. Please god. Ling watches him continue to not read the mood, considering; he's clingy, alright, and besides that he's not going to kick someone out of their own house in this miserable gray town—that's not his style!]

Just let me stay in here, already.

[Okay, but see: he already made a huge declaration of possessiveness once today. He can't go around doing it all the time (or, well, he can, but only in certain ways). It'd get weird if he got all clingy, begging Ling to stick around and stay in his bed rather than live across town; that's not his style. He's cool and collected and removed; he takes things, he wants things, but he doesn't need them.

So he gets it. He knows he's being irritating and obtuse. But still he waits for a moment, looking over at Ling like he's really got to consider it.]

Bring over your own pillow next time you go back and come here.

[But he shifts over on the bed, making room, so like . . . yeah, obviously, he's staying.]

[Ling, who has been in the same body as Greed and rifled through his memories as thoroughly as one can do to another person, really thinks he ought to have earned a little less posturing by now. He waits patiently anyway, loitering in the doorway, only perking up and coming over to sit on the bed when Greed finally decides he's done and relents.

He's okay with being the clingy one for the time being. Whatever, right; he's still getting what he wants.]

You won't even notice I'm here! [he lies, lyingly.]
