Intro Log.
![]() | |
The old man is snoring. He bumped his head and went to bed And he couldn't get up in the morning. | |
Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time. |

He won't go on about the forest if Crowley isn't interested. It's good if he's not. And he won't waste time getting to the point at all.]
I don't want you treating the people here like livestock.
[Obviously, he can't stop name calling and however many old ass years it was that Crowley's been a vampire leaving behavior ingrained in him. But he's not so worried about that part.] I mean their blood. You can have some of mine whenever you need it, so I want you to leave them out of it. Most of them don't even know what vampires are.
[He thinks it's a very fair deal!!]

[ From beginning to end.
The request--or rather, the order--to treat these individuals with a little more decency than he would others is expected, however, but foolish. Eight hundred years were spent adjusting to into acknowledging the selfishness of humans and their hypocrisy for judging a vampire's way of life, so a sudden change isn't going to happen over night. Not even when there's a proposal as delicious as knowing he would have his own personal blood bank.
But then again... this way is easier, and Crowley is much more accepting of what comes easily. ]
It's just our way of life, if livestock have a problem with it... well, you already know how that goes. [ He doesn't hesitate to extend a hand, pushing it against Guren's shoulder and basically shoving him against the bookshelf. Towering over the human his crimson eyes seem to gleam with mild entertainment, the corners of his mouth curled into a pleasantly terrifying smile. ] Or do you just miss having someone who'll depend on you?
[ Because he doesn't want to believe that this was a decision made selflessly; much more willing to believe that it's done with the want to be needed. It sounds much more human, to him, after all. ]

The worst case would be encouraging Crowley to bug others more with this. The best case would be supplying him with his own blood to satisfy any urges, and Crowley feeling fine with just that for one weird reason or another. Middle of the line he'd even take, which is supplying him blood and dealing with whatever cases come from his boredom. But he doesn't want panic, and he doesn't want a problem.]
It's not that. [Firmly, his eyes focused on Crowley's.] Our numbers are limited here. We're working on finding a way home. Having blood supplied for you should only be a benefit.
What's so difficult about that?
no subject
He pulls his hand back, however, when he receives his answer. ]
It's not a bad idea~ But you know they'll soon learn what I am whether you like it or not.
no subject
[Now that his shoulder is free again, Guren ignores that wider grin and stands taller, away from the bookshelf, granting himself that much space.]
I just care that they aren't used as livestock. [He doesn't want that fear spreading, so if he can stop it in any way... Then he intends to. And maybe he likes to have the control, too.] I agreed to the same thing with Mika, so I can meet up with you every few days to hand it over, too.
no subject
But what if they want to help? Who am I to reject someone's helping hand~? [ Of course he's only teasing him at this point, which is probably made obvious when he follows it up with: ] You do know that I prefer drinking from the source, right?
no subject
Anyway, Guren scowls in response to this, eyes narrowing both in his annoyance and in thought.]
If drinking from the source will make you reject someone's helping hand, then fine. I don't care. [Don't joke or tease with him, he responds all serious like this and it's embarrassing?]
no subject
You're so easy, I almost feel bad for walking all over you like this. [ Almost meaning not at all. ] I can't make any promises, but if you're hellbent on this then whatever. You know I'm no where near like most of the other vampires from my world, I'm not just going to bite into whoever simply because I feel like it.
no subject
Shut up. The only reason I'm telling you this is because you're the type to listen. I'm leading a defense force here, and we're all working together, so that should be enough for it to be a benefit.
[Plus, Crowley not wanting to drink from someone when he doesn't know where they've been, he guesses? Fine, that works out.] You can ask me if you have any questions about this place. Have you found your laptop yet?
no subject
So I really am just an abandoned puppy in your eyes, aren't I? [ He's just being handed from Ferid to this human... this isn't even a complaint! Just a mild observation. ]
... We've got laptops?
no subject
[Damn... Just like that. Well, he is kind of like an abandoned puppy though...?? Guren doesn't think he owns him or anything, of course, and he's not like Ferid in that way, but he's going to make use of it however he can. Crowley is a good force to have on his side.]
But, yeah, we do. You've probably got the feeling that you want to go to one district over the others, even if you're a bloodsucker. [Human feelings aside!] Your designated house will be somewhere in that district, with a laptop meant for you.
no subject
Hm... well, now that you mention it, before coming here I did feel as if a part of me wanted to go elsewhere. So this place actually manages to have that much power over us...
How frightening.
[ But he doesn't appear or sound the least bit troubled. No one is surprised. ]
no subject
It is concerning. [Guren's going to go ahead and start gathering up books to put back. He even shoves a stack of them at Crowley? It's worth a shot.]
The first month here, the furniture started talking. Not just that, but it was speaking from our own thoughts and worries, for everyone to hear. This town isn't normal. Something bigger is behind it.
no subject
Lift his hands up as if he has no fucking idea what's going on and watches as all the books fall to the floor again. You tried, Guren... ]
Well, I can't really say I'd be very pleased with an armchair going off about how I lived a considerable amount of my life being miserable. [ ... but? There is no but. ] Has anyone gotten stabbed?
no subject
[Guren gestures at one of the many, many parts of his uniform that appear to be, on closer inspection, stitched up.]
No one has died, though. Only gone missing, or in some cases, turned to stone. The ones who turn to stone seem to return to normal. We're still not sure why.
no subject
Well... better you than someone else. [ He's just going to pat Guren on the shoulder. Briefly, of course, as he immediately draws his hand back soon after. ]
I heard that the forest is a weird place, could people being turned to stone be because of something from there? Like a monster, of some sort... a cockatrice?
no subject
[OTHER PEOPLE WERE STABBED... But Guren was probably stabbed the most, so it is fine, really.] Anyway, I thought about that, but people turn to stone in their very own homes, and usually without any involvement with the forest immediately prior. The monsters don't seem to leave the forest and enter the town, either, unless provoked.
