ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb.

The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun.

But most importantly of all... you're not alone.

Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time.

Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways.

[In weather like this, it's impossible to sit somewhere nice and go strum his guitar, but given that being stuck indoors is enough to make Riku a little restless, he's taken to standing under an awning near his house and singing rather loudly. The rain surely drowns out his voice, so he probably isn't bothering anyone, given that everyone else is indoors.

Of course, it's impossible to hear footsteps headed his way amidst the downpour. But as luck would have it, the person that rounds the corner is familiar.... so unexpectedly familiar that Riku immediately rubs at his eyes to make sure he isn't having a crazy hallucination.]

Tenn-nii....?!

[The voice that reaches his ears is more than enough proof that he definitely isn't mistaken, but rather than ask any questions, Riku immediately runs over to throw his arms around his twin. Is he getting wet? Yes. But right now, just confirming that Tenn is actually here is so much more important.]

Tenn-nii!

[ Tenn allows the hug for approximately one entire second, and then he gently grabs Riku by the shoulders to steer him backwards -- off of Tenn, since Tenn is wet, and back under the porch, where Riku can stay dry. ]

You need to stay dry. Who do you think is going to help you if you get sick in a place like this?

[ Tenn Kujo, eternally abrasive, even if he's technically a little better about it these days. He is happy to see Riku, even if he almost feels guilty about it; Riku, in a place like this? Tenn should be happier seeing Riku safe at home where there's no weird wells or lack of color, but --

Well, if Riku has to be here, at least he won't be alone. Tenn doesn't trust Riku not to wind up nearly killing himself doing something unimportant ~~like literally singing in the rain~~.

All the same, Tenn relents, a little, once he gets Riku back under the porch: ]

...I'm here. Let's go inside. [ Where! It's! Dry! ]

[It goes without saying that Tenn must be one of the people that showed up in the well today, given that Riku's come across a few already, but it still hasn't entirely sunk in that this isn't an illusion. Really, how could he help himself from leaping out upon seeing the first familiar face he's come across in two months?]

Sorry, sorry.... I know! I've been keeping healthy here and staying dry, I promise. I just couldn't help it! I've missed you so much!

[Of course, there was a period where they were separated for years without a single word of correspondence, but... They've grown so much closer over the past year. If not as brothers, then as rivals. As equals.]

I have a few towels inside you can use to dry off. This is where I've been staying, Tenn-nii! I can't believe you're actually here!

[ Tenn starts to head inside, because the last thing he wants is for either of them to get sick, and Tenn is cold and sopping wet and it's making him maybe a little grumpier than usual. All the same, seeing Riku is making a little tension eke out of his frame. He knows that he should be more worried, because Riku in a place like this is just about the worst thing that could possibly happen to Riku, but --

Well. At least Riku has Tenn around, now; he won't be alone. Unless he wasn't alone before, but, really. ]

You can tell me everything I've missed while I dry off. Do you have clothes I can borrow? [ He wouldn't usually ask, but -- it's Riku. It's fine. ]

How long have you been here? Is anyone else here?

[ That they'd know, Tenn means; from Idolish, or Trigger, or even Re:vale. Tenn would take just about anyone, at this point, more familiar faces, more familiar ground.

Tenn is used to being extremely good at things and he's so far out of his element right now it's almost offensive. ]

I don't have many outfits, but I have a clean shirt and pair of pants you could change into! We had to make do with the clothes we could find around here, but they should fit you fine.

[It's a double edged sword in every sense but the literal one, honestly.... Having Tenn here is wonderful, something he can't help but be happy about, but it's not like he wants anyone else stuck here with him. How will TRIGGER fare without Tenn?]

It's just been me for the past two months, but I've made new friends here!

[And he falls silent for just a moment, expression faltering as he turns to gather the clothes from a drawer that's empty aside from that and his RESTART POiNTER outfit.]

Hey, Tenn-nii.... How is everything back home? Is IDOLiSH7 okay? [Unspoken: "Without me?"

With no reason to think otherwise, he's convinced that he just.... disappeared without a trace. The nation is probably panicked, but after two months, maybe the headlines have died down. It has to be a huge scandal, drawing i7 into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.... Thinking about his unit falling apart without him is his main source of worry, laying heavy on his heart.]

Anything's fine, if it's dry. [ Tenn doesn't want to get sick, okay. He starts carefully peeling his cardigan off, folding it over his arm and trying not to grimace. The fabric is never going to be the same, which would be less of a worry if they were at home, when he could just buy a new one or select a slightly different one from his closet, but he has no idea if he'll manage to find more clothing anytime soon... much less anything that fits his personal style.

At Riku's question, though, Tenn frowns faintly, looking at Riku with an intense sort of look, as though there's something unspoken that should be obvious to both of them. ]

Riku, you were just sending everyone messages yesterday. You haven't been gone two months.

[ Which means -- time is different, more than likely, which seems like an easier assumption than thinking Riku has lost his mind. ]

We can hang your wet clothes up once you change. I'm sure they'll dry before too long!

[Fitting his style might be.... hard, but the clothes Riku hands over aren't the worst thing in the world. They aren't stylish by any stretch of the imagination, but they're definitely functional (and dry!) clothes.

But the clothes leave his mind entirely as Tenn gives him that look he's so familiar with. Slightly narrowed eyes, brow barely furrowed, a little intense and equally hard to read.... Riku's thought of many situations that could have unfolded upon his disappearance, so he braces himself for the worst, and then....

His expression slowly shifts into confused shock, the realization sinking in a little more each second.]

But that can't be right! Unless someone replaced me, that means--! [Well, it really only means once thing, which he mentions a little more quietly than before.] It's magic? Is time not moving here?

It must be. I'm certain you haven't been gone very long, but that means that no one will know that we're missing. [ For better or for worse, Tenn supposes -- he doesn't know if going looking for them would result in anything good happening or simply more people being trapped. This place already has him on edge in the worst way, and he doesn't particularly think idol skillsets are going to do the slightest bit of good. ]

...In a world like this, "magic" doesn't seem to be as impossible as it is back home. [ It's a little begrudging, because Tenn doesn't exactly like when things don't make sense, but also, like -- things super don't make sense. ]
