Intro Log.

It's raining, it's pouring. The old man is snoring. He bumped his head and went to bed And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. Please feel free to ask any questions here and don't forget to greet your fellow players here!

josuke higashikata. i'll be looking around for you, so if you see a guy with really awesome hair, that's me.

[ 'awesome' is relative and a bit of a vague description, but that's all he says before leaving the computer. and off to flavo he goes! annabeth might find him wandering around a bit. ]

anyway annabeth is on her porch as promised and waves when she sees the dude with the questionable do ]

[ please, please, please do not say anything bad about his hair. ]

Hey there, Annabeth. This your house, huh? It looks so cozy, it's really too bad they assigned me to Ruga.

[ He doesn't mind living in a cute cottage. Anyway, Josuke moves over to where she is. ]

I assume we can move around as needed, but I don't see any reason to just yet.

[ ling could stand to use doors more but bruce seems fine and she prefers the cozy cottage life to ruga or bluo. SO.

she opens the door to let him inside! it's like. abandoned looking because they have to clean the damn place, but she's heading to her room and ignoring the rest because fuck that priorities matter? ]

Man, the inside looks as bad as my house in Ruga. [ Josuke kind of says that without thought. He realises soon after that it might be mean. ] Oh, no offense ...

[ He can understand why she wanted him to come help clean, though. Josuke follows her into her room. ] Alright, the sooner we get started the better. You got anything I can use as an apron? Don't wanna dirty the threads.

[ This big teenage boy is fussy about his appearance. ]

Would a blanket work? I don't mind if you cut it to size or anything.

[ otherwise...........she is fresh out of frilly aprons, josuke ]

Uh, it's alright. I don't wanna be cutting up your stuff either. [ And given the state of everything else, he kind of assumes the blanket will also be old and stuffy, and he's not sure he wants to be wearing that over his body. What if it makes him itchy ...

Guess he'll have to deal with it. ] What about a broom I can use? Have one of those? [ Don't mind him if he starts looking around, opening the closet to see if there's anything in there he can use to clean with. He doesn't realise just yet that it might be rude to go digging around in a girl's room. ]

Yeah, we found one in this closet over here. And I do have some rags for cleaning.

[ also, a bucket of water.

she did that much...also she doesn't seem to care about him digging around it's not like any of this crap is Hers yet ]

Okay, I'll sweep up your room for you then. This place does need a lot of sprucing up -- so does mine. I wonder if anyone's ever actually lived here before.

[ Woah, that's a little eerie to think about. Of course someone lived here once, but where did they go? He really has a bad feeling about this place now. Josuke picks up the broom and starts sweeping away the dust on the ground. ]

I'm not sure - some of the furniture is...worse for the wear. I'll have to figure out how to actually fix it.

[ ugh carpentry? but like the bed wobbles and she isn't sure what's up with the frame. old age and weather, maybe. ]

[nipzips]

[ She randomly mentioned that to just the right guy. ]

Oh, you want something fixed? If it's just that, I can do it for you. [ Does he get an extra reward, fulfilling two requests!!! ]

Just the bed - are you a carpenter?

[ "what is with your hair" she doesn't ask ]

[nipzips]

[ Please, please don't question his hair. ]

Something like that. Only, I don't actually know anything about carpentering. [ Josuke has no actual talent himself, but with his Stand, he can cheat at all the things. ]

You kinda gotta see it to believe it. May I?

[athenite]

Oh, sure. [ by all means...she just steps back and waves him to it. ]

Alright. Fix that bed, Crazy Diamond. [ A large pink ghost-man phases out of Josuke and gives that bed a punch. Annabeth will see her bed piecing itself back together, any broken pieces in the wood fixing themselves, and any torn parts in the sheets mending immediately. Sadly, he can't do anything about the general cleanliness of the bed, but at least it's fixed now.

There's no actual need to tell Crazy D to do the thing, since the Stand is basically a part of Josuke, but it looks cooler this way. ]

[ that. sums it up nice what the hell did you just do josuke... ]

[ He fixed the bed, as he said he would?? ]

All done! You won't have to worry about the bed breaking apart now. Still needs to be dusted a few thousand times, though.

[ And Crazy Diamond is still chilling out behind him. Nice to meet you, Annabeth. ]

Which is why you're here to help out. [ the bed was nice but SHE ASKED FOR HELP CLEANING AND THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING! because annabeth clearly intends to like, do half of the work at least. her hair is tied back and she puts the bunch of rags she has near the bucket of water and gets to town dusting.

[ Come on, he just fixed the bed. At least praise him!!!!! ] On to that already, huh...

[ Teenage boys just want recognition. But alright, Josuke starts sweeping away the dust on the ground. ] Never thought that one of the first things I'd be doing in this new world would be chores.

[athenite]

[ she will praise him when it's done! she's starting on the shelves and dressers, getting dust off there onto the ground. ]

Well, you didn't specify what kinds of wishes you'd grant.

[nipzips]

[ And he'll be sweeping up the dust that lands on the ground. ]

I guess I did open a blank check. [ Sigh. He'll resign himself to HELLA CHORES. With the broom, Josuke moves to where the bed is, trying to sweep underneath it. That's when a large grey cockroach scurries out from underneath the bed, running over his feet and trying to get to the other side of the room. ]

Shit! What the fuck?! [ He is a boy standing at 6'1" and he's had dozens of people try to kill him but a cockroach is enough to startle him into punching the ground WITH HIS STAND. He misses the cockroach, but there's now a hole in the floor. ]

[ oh my god josuke...annabeth is 5'10 and she jolts when he basically reacts like a little girl and then.

at the hole. ]

I hope you can fix that. [ said as she RUTHLESSLY STEPS ON THE COCKROACH HERSELF. ]

[nipzips]

[ ooc: do you think we can submit this quest or does the whole room have to be clean.... ]

[ Ah, it's dead now. RIP. Lived such a short life. Josuke stares at the smashed cockroach with some apprehension, impressed at how quickly and coolly she dealt with it. Smashed up cockroaches sure are gross though, and he wouldn't dirty his branded shoes with them. ]

Huh ...? Uh, yeah. That's no problem. [ Crazy Diamond touches the edge of the hole, and the wooden pieces will all go flying back into place. It's as good as new now. ]
