Intro Log.

It's raining, it's pouring. The old man is snoring. He bumped his head and went to bed And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. Please feel free to ask any questions here and don't forget to greet your fellow players here!

[Many worlds, huh...? It's kind of an optimistic thought; Aqua seems calm about all of this, so surely there must be a way out of here.

Not that Minato's personally in a big hurry, all things considered, but for everyone else--]

That's pretty amazing... before this all happened, I didn't know it was even possible to travel to different worlds.

Usually, it isn't such a rude awakening, though. I hadn't even realized I'd end up here.

[ It isn't exactly possible to walk through a door into another world in the realm of darkness. If it were, she'd have escaped long ago. ]

Oh, really...?

[That's somewhat less promising, but it's obviously not her fault that she ended up here the way the rest of them did. He just frowns a bit to himself, shaking his head.]

That's how the rest of us showed up too. It's still a mystery how we even ended up here, but...

Honestly, the fact that you're used to world hopping is a little reassuring. I think you're the first here who is.

[shotlocking]

[ She touches a hand to her chin in thought. Then... she really is the only one here. A part of her had hoped, impossibly, that Terra or Ven had shown up here, too. But... wishful thinking, she supposes.

The Wayfinder in her pocket feels so heavy. ]

Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can get us out of here. And it would be dangerous without the proper protection, besides.

Ah, is that how it is..?

[He supposes it makes sense that world hopping requires some sort of protection or preparation...]

Well...that's okay. I'm still sure we'll all manage to find a way back home in time. Sorry if that put a little too much pressure on you.

[ Oh. She shakes her head. ]

No, it's alright. I'm glad to help in any way I can, but it seems this is something I can't quite do.

[ She pauses. ]

What's your name? I'm Aqua.

I'm Minato. It's nice to meet you.

[He bows his head a bit too, and it's a sincere gesture, if a little lazy.]

Sorry the circumstances couldn't be better, but...everyone tends to get along pretty well in this place, at least. You'll be welcome here until we find a way home.

[ She gets the feeling it's that way. Like there's a sense of camaraderie from being brought to the same place. ]

[She's going to be an asset here, that's for sure--someone with her sort of gentle calm (all the more impressive considering she's just gotten here) on top of a willingness to work with everyone is a relief.

They can use as much help as they can get here, that's for sure.

I guess there are a few other details to keep in mind too. We've fixed up a lot of the town, but some of it is still falling apart, so be careful with buildings and bridges. And... try to avoid eating food without color.
