It's raining, it's pouring. The old man is snoring. He bumped his head and went to bed And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. I. a swift death

Somehow, Ling gets himself out of the well. There may have been a lot of seemingly impossible parkour involved, very energetic, very athletically impressive! And now, up in the town, he's... well he's parkour'd his way onto the roof of a building. Maybe it's your home, who knows!! He's just up there, for some reason lying face down with his arms and head hanging over the edge, waving occasionally to get people's attention.

[Or rather, the windows don't! Which means no matter whose house this is, yours probably, Ling is going to climb right in the window. Maybe he catches wind of something of interest - food, mostly, or if you like to talk to yourself... Whatever the cause, the most warning you'll get before there's a dude just crouched on the windowsill is, frankly, the sound of the window sliding open as it's lifted from the outside.

[Rooftops are actually excellent travel routes, good call Aizawa. They're good lounge spots too, despite the weather. And the dirt. It's a toss up.]

[He wants--all of the potatoes, actually, and has already hopped off the windowsill and gravitated a little in that direction when Minato asks if he needs a towel.

[She's definitely eating (she's always eating) but she pauses halfway through her meal when someone--comes in from the window. She stares for a moment (considers just throwing him out the window), while she finishes chewing and swallows.]

Don't mind that you're breaking and entering? Shouldn't you be worried if I say no?

No, you don't mind?

[Ha, see... see what he did. He's chipper until she says she won't feed him, at which point he slumps. In the window. Still maintaining his impeccable balance, but sulkier.]

I could starve like this... my house has no food!

[Her answer is just as pleasant, and there isn't even a pause as she launches into a mostly made-up answer.]

We've been kidnapped by an army of magical evil stepmothers that want us all to either fight more or get along more, no one knows. I don't think we've come up with a country name yet.

It doesn't sound impossible, which says something, but he's not sure what. He looks at her in silence with the same weirdly cheery expression for a moment, then lifts a hand to tap his cheek thoughtfully.

This is definitely him taking it seriously.]

[Kamui has to tilt his parasol back in order to see the strange man waving down at him. He's already soaked from head to toe though, so what's a little more rain anyway? It might be worth it to hear this guy out. Kamui waves back at him.]

Is it a good one? Do we have to search the globe for seven wish granting genital euphemisms? Do battle with a rival ninja clan in a blinding orange jump suit? Or is it one of those tired quests for fame and riches?

[Sick umbrella, but genital euphemisms? No, he hopes not? That response doesn't throw him at all, apparently; if anything it just makes him think that, ah, perhaps he's the serious one in this interaction.

Okay then--]

Actually, at least one of them was about something as ordinary as geese. I don't know what happens at the end, but there's only one way to find out.

[And Ling--doesn't move. Shouting at him isn't persuasive enough, and he's hungry...]

I'm hungry... they don't have food services around here and my house is empty.

[ Elizabeth is busily preparing lunch, humming to herself idly as she works on the task. It's nothing special at all, since considering the avaliable ingredients in town, it's kind of hard to make anything special in the first place... But it's filling enough, and fragrant enough to draw attention, apparently. She's so absorbed in her task that she dismisses the sound of the window (these houses are rickety, after all—it's not the first time it's made strange noises), so it's only once Ling speaks that he catches her attention.

And, you know, in a major way.

She jumps with a startled noise as she whips around, and without even thinking about it, she throws the wooden spoon in her hand right at him. She has a surprisingly good arm, considering how tiny she is?? But hey, at least it's not a textbook. ]

[Luckily Ling has good reflexes, or he'd get completely beaned in the head with a spoon, here. He manages to catch it instead, a feat that involves dodging backwards out of the way for a moment, so his precarious perch becomes even more so. But- because Elizabeth surely isn't trying to murder innocent mooches- his free hand scrambles for a hold on the window frame and he's back!!

Totally the best ending: he's still here to beg for more food. The spoon is a bonus, actually; he's already stuck it in his mouth and hums appreciatively at the flavor. When you're starving anything tastes good, etc etc.]

Good throw! [he says, spoon in mouth... hi liz.]

[Most people would scream if they saw somebody trying to climb in through their window. Or they'd take the next best thing (maybe their fists) and punch the hell out of the intruder. At least they'd be expecting a good explanation.

Kirishima does none of that.

Instead he opts to try and snag Ling's collar so that he can haul him inside and slam him onto the floor, one arm raised as if he wants to spear the other with his bare hand - which is no ordinary hand anymore. The skin all over Kirishima's body has transformed into hard ridges and edges which incidentally also includes very sharp fingertips and teeth.]

You've got some guts, trying to break in here!

[Nobody has tried this before, so Ling blinks in surprise as he's dragged into the room and shoved down. He should probably be more concerned about this, but then, he did just try to climb in the window uninvited-- so it's safe to say his priorities are a little off. If he were truly in a pinch, he'd put more effort into trying to wriggle away, but...

And this is the reason he believes he's not in a pinch...

This body transformation is interesting?! He's looking at Kirishima's hand with apparent interest before he claps his own hands and points at him decidedly.]

[Good call on the food front because Emma is actually roasting a whole goose. Although coming in through the window was probably a bit excessive considering her cottage only has one floor...

The confrontation happens when she walks back out of her bedroom to check on her dinner. Has he eaten the entire dang bird? Was it even completely cooked? Who knows, but she is definitely... startled.]

Uh... [yes? if he had just asked she would have shared??] Who are you?

[Know that he wants to eat this entire dang bird. Know also that he's looming over it, waiting for the second it's done cooking. He needs this bird, little child. He will die.]
