Intro Log.

It's raining, it's pouring.
The old man is snoring.
He bumped his head and went to bed
And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb.

The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun.

But most importantly of all... you're not alone.

Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time.

Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways.

We've all been trying to figure it out for awhile now.

(But then Percy would need to do a whole lot of explaining because Mutsu isn't going to let a kid go swimming in the rain. He might drown? Or get sick? And those are very bad things for humans.)

Nah, not yet! (But he sounds excited to check them out.) My place is over in Ruga so it's got nothing like this.

Makes me kind of jealous 'cause I wouldn't mind being out by the sea! But when the sea's like this, I guess I'm not missing out on anything.

[It isn't even the war that made Mika so cold, it was what happened before he was forced to join the fight. Though he doesn't feel like explaining that.]

[Mika turns towards Caramia at that, an eyebrow raising curiously.] You don't sound happy about the patrols. Why is that?

I've been kidnapped and dumped into an underground city run by vampires without any sort of weapon at all. This is already much better than that.

[Since he has his sword at his side and is no longer an eight year old kid.]

No, but...

[Even so, humans have hurt him, right? They've caused him enough pain that this is how he feels...]

I'm still sorry that you've been through so much. That's just... how I feel.

[Because he can't deny that some humans can be monsters, but not all humans are monsters--not that that's what he's concerned with right now.]

[Somehow that makes sense. The two are interchangeable for Percy, but maybe not for everybody else.]

Yeah. We don't usually tell people back home for pretty obvious reasons, but I've known since I was twelve.

[Kirishima has already taken a deep breath to start arguing with Damian in a sharper voice before something clicks and the words get stuck in his throat. For a moment he just stares speechlessly at the kid.

But he said just now that he's quirkless himself! Does that mean he got mobbed-- Suddenly it all makes a cruel amount of sense to the older teen, even though he still cannot condone an attitude like that! His look is pitying rather than angry when he looks at him now and the sharp tone has vanished from his voice.]

...I'm sorry. Some people can be really stupid about this whole quirk thing and it sucks. I get that you must be angry and frustrated. I too was... No, that's not even near comparable to how it must be for you. Forget I said anything.

[Shaking his head he sighs.]

I still don't think that it's good that you're resorting to such a "'we' against 'them'" mindset, though. Pretending that somebody isn't human just because they have something you do or don't have... That's dangerous. So I'd be grateful if you called myself and my friends humans just like everybody else. Cause we are.

[He's probably had way worse nicknames than Shoes tbh. He's roughly six feet tall with an appropriate footsize and aware that Mafuyu's most likely going to lose his shoes if she tries to take off with them. His shoes aren't like his sword. If he loses them, that's pretty much it.]

How long do you think we should wait for this guy to show up? [Percy's not holding his breath that someone will show up, but he would like to see what kind of rewards they're dealing with. It's why he's actually kicking off his sneakers and handing them over to Mafuyu as they dangle by the laces.]

I think the superheroes without powers usually have money, right?

[Mafuyu, just because a lot of people have powers doesn't mean they'll all be using it right now...]

I don't think people use their powers except when they need to. [...well, Kaoru does float around people she likes who know she's a psychokinetic but that's more like a dumb habit than anything else.]

I think there are only a few of us who can fly though.

She doesn't tend to stick around too often. She and the Hunters travel all over the place, but they've helped us out a few times. [Not to mention everything at Mount Tamalpais, but that's history he doesn't feel like going into.] She'd probably like the armor.

[Too bad Shiho isn't a precog or she could have told Mafuyu not to empty her backpack. Well... at least there's no water in it now?]

[Though the suggestion to color everything in is adorable.]

Save those. There's someone here named Iida who would probably be happy to see more pens.

[It may be nothing to Mutsu, but given his poor health, Riku's grown up being scolded heavily whenever he does anything that could even remotely lead to his health deteriorating. Being in the freezing rain might not kill this guy, no, but it's definitely not good!

Still, as the towels are taken from his hands, all he can do is smile. Much better.]

No problem! I'm glad I had these. It'll be much more comfortable to be dry, right?

[And he cants his head slightly, curious.]

But you must be one of the new arrivals, right? I'm Riku! There's not much here, but we've cleaned the place, so do you want to come inside for a while and dry off?

[Or: another roommate prompt, but not actually a roommate, just a mooch. That guy who eats too much for a normal person to comprehend is here, in Sora's house, although there's no way of knowing that he's the guy at a glance because there's no food in the house.

He is, however, definitely not one of the two actual roommates who are supposed to be here - and aren't right now, for whatever reason. There's just Ling, sitting on the couch, playing with a laptop that isn't his. He looks up when the presence of another person gets his attention, and... well, hello stranger?? Ling is the stranger here—]

[It all makes sense, and honestly, Izuku was already trying to keep track of anything out of the norm. It just means there's one more person to talk to if he sees anything.]

As far as I know, it doesn't matter how many times a quest is completed, you'll still get the reward. You should check the current ones and see if there's any you want to work on.

I'm sure he'll be really happy to see you, Higashikata-kun!

[And he gets a tilt of the head here.] I think he looks just fine. You're right about him having a big heart, though!

[Not from the forest, then. That's a good sign... well, maybe. He knows absolutely nothing about this guy's world. Maybe a possibly haunted puppet isn't a big deal there. Or maybe it's definitely possessed and going to kill them all.

What are you guys fighting against? You don't have a camp like that unless there's already some kind of danger you're aware of.

You could say that when she gets angry. She'll Nelson you if you piss her off.

Yeah... I kind of wish they didn't get pulled into...whatever this is, but it's nice knowing there's people who will have my back here.

Yes. There was no one here, when we arrived.

[They certainly looked, but no one found anyone. There was no sign of life in the town at all, outside the forest, until that first forum post from #FFFFFF showed up.]

...Yeah. The "internet" here only connects to one forum, but it's close enough. You can talk to everyone.

If it's going to be a regular event, we need to be more prepared next time. Once could be a fluke, but twice is starting to look like a pattern.
