He glances down, shifting it a bit. He can move it just fine, and the bones aren't shattered, but he is bruised beneath these silly pants. It took him moving just about every muscle in the right way to avoid having it shattered completely, which is an insane amount of precision and work, but it still left him hurt. He could just hide it and push past it.
As far as Tonbokiri's wounds, Guren won't bother mentioning them. He knows he's a strong guy who can handle it.

Rubbing at his chin for a moment, he gives in to his curiosity.
"If I may ask one last question of you before you go, I am curious if you learned a lesson from this spar as well."
A good teacher is forever learning too, he believes.

He laughs, because it's true... Even if demon weapons came in all shapes and sizes, he's leagues away from most of them with his black demon series weapon, and he's been ridiculously strong since he was young. Tonbokiri was refreshing!
"Besides that, I learned about you. There's something you can get from sparring someone that you don't get just by watching, even if I usually prefer the latter."

Smiling broadly, he nods towards Ichinose again.
"Yes! I know exactly what you mean!" So much can be communicated through the weight of a blow; through the choices made in an instant.
"I am pleased we had a chance to do this. And I hope that we might be able to do so again." No one can know how long this strange situation of being in the town will last, after all. And though he wishes to return to Aruji's side, he also intends to make the best of this.

It's a poor excuse, but it's also just true. He's busy, he doesn't like to spar when he could be doing other things and having people spar each other to grow, and to top it all off, he doesn't want to set his demon off too much. He can never be too careful. Still, he rubs the back of his head, and it's probably clear now that he's putting more weight on the uninjured leg.
"We'll see."

"Allow me to begin from the start. Mikuniguro and I entered the forest again last week. Being determined to get as far as possible and see the end of it, we rode hard and fast. As we went the forest closed in around us, becoming blacker. But still we pressed on.
"Then, we were being followed. I clearly sensed it, but never saw it, for it never closed in completely on us. I could sense that it was large and extremely dangerous. There was an unmistakable impression that it was waiting for nightfall, so it could emerge, hunt, and devour us.
The further we went the more difficult the path became and the stronger that feeling was. So we turned back. As best as I can tell, the dangerous thing did not follow us past the area when I'd initially sensed it." Pausing to take a deep breath, he concludes firmly,
"As you may well understand of me, I am unafraid of being outnumbered and outmatched. I am not one to flee a fight. But I know when I am in danger of being broken. And were I to stay in that forest alone at night, I would surely be at great risk of being broken. Yet I fear the greater risk is leaving such a thing alone. Should it decide to come closer to the town, many will be in danger. Therefore I would request of you to put together a party to hunt down that thing, before it hunts us."
End report.

"So, you didn't actually see anything, but you felt it? Was it different from the usual feeling of being watched in that forest?"
He assumes so. "It seems as if it only reacted when approached... So it's not something I want to deal with immediately, but I do want to deal with it. I can form a group and set a date, but I need to make sure I have all of the information ahead of time."
no subject
"I shall leave it in your most capable care, then." He bows his head in thanks.
"In regards to information, I reported this to Midoriya-dono as well, but he is the only other one. He gave no indication that anyone else had experienced the same thing. But of course, it is possible things have changed since I spoke with him."
no subject
As soon as he gets the chance. "You make sure you check your laptop every day. It's a good way to stay connected, anyway, and I'll message you when I've got an idea."
no subject
"Very well. I shall await your message. My thanks for your time today, Ichinose-dono."
