[Shouto will start picking some flowers.]

Of course you. You're always trying to look at the bright side of things. Flowers suit you.

Uraraka is always smiling.

... I don't think it fits me as well.

[Shouto, my boy, are you ready to get hit by a wave of positivity? A veritable tsunami of positivity? Because it's happening.]

I don't think that's true at all. [She pauses her flower picking long enough to glance over his way.] Look at how much fun all three of us are having together! It wouldn't be the same if you weren't here, because you make us happy, Todoroki-kun! And flowers make everyone happy, so you know... they really do fit you.

Right, Deku-kun?

[inheritance]

Right! [No hesitation whatsoever. Because why wouldn't he think that Todoroki deserve flower crowns if the rest of them are getting to wear them?] Uraraka-san said it. Having you as our friend makes us happy.

Besides... [He glances at Todoroki, smiling as he thinks of a conversation they'd had a while ago.] Heroes deserve flower crowns, so that definitely means you should get one.

[glaciers]

[ A wave of pleasant warmth washes over him. They're friends- it's the first time somebody has said they're happy to be around him.

The smile he manages is small, but content. ]

I like being your friend. It makes me happy too. [ If he had to be trapped in an alien town, he's glad he's with them.]

[He's... smiling? Her eyes flick over to Deku, just to make sure that he's definitely seeing this, before she looks back at Shouto and beams. HE'S SMILING!]

I'm glad you feel the same way! That's why we're going to make the make the best flower crowns together. Maybe we'll even give you the biggest one!

[She's going back to picking flowers now, humming to herself while she works, because dang, seeing him smile is... so nice...

But soon she has a lap full of nice-looking dandelions, and she sits back with a satisfied sigh.]

I think I finally have enough. What about you two?

[inheritance]

[He meets her gaze, his own smile warm and understanding. Yes, he's seeing it, too, Uraraka-san!] Or the fanciest one.

I have enough dandelions, but!! [Don't mind him dashing off, leaving his dandelions on the grass where he was standing just a second ago. And then he's back, adding a handful of dark purple flowers to the pile triumphantly.] I saw these earlier today. Do you think we can add them to the crowns?

[glaciers]

[ He thinks he smile plenty. Especially when he has a good reason for it, like being around his friends and knowing they like him too. ]

If it's the biggest, it's going to be a flower necklace.

Ah... What are these? They're nice.

[If Shouto smiled in Ochako's presence at least once a day, she would be so, so happy. The happiest, actually. But hmm, yes... these are some quality flowers, Deku, and she coos appreciatively as she reaches out to grab one. A new color for this greyscale town! How thrilling!]

I don't know, but they're so pretty! They're bigger than the dandelions, too, but maybe we can... weave them into the front part? Their stems are pretty thin...

[She turns it over, making sure that her assessment is correct, before she gently places it back on the pile.]

But let's practice making plain dandelion crowns first?

[And thus, in the interest of saving this thread from being 100+ tags, she patiently shows them how to make an easy, run-of-the-mill flower crown! It's not too difficult to pick up? Take two dandelions, loop one around the other, take two more dandelions and loop one around its mate and the two stems that came before it... that's all there is to it, honestly. Rinse and repeat until a neat circlet is formed.

As their teacher, though, she makes two little crowns before she stops to watch them make theirs for the next twenty odd minutes. She corrects them if she sees them making a mistake, and she answers any questions they may have, but aside from that she's content to sit back, relax, and let them do the majority of the work. Practice makes perfect!]

You both picked it up so fast! Good job! Now you just need to make one that you're extra proud of.

[Both Uraraka and Todoroki are important to him, their smiles precious gifts. Izuku would do whatever it takes to keep those smiles on their faces. Including but not limited to teasing.]

Yes, Uraraka-sensei. [The serious expression on his face lasts for about two seconds before he cracks, face breaking into a smiile as he laughs.] We picked it up really fast because we had a good teacher.

[Back to the flower crowns it is, though. His smile melts into a look of concentration as he threads the flowers together. He makes a bit of a sight, with the flowers in his hands, and the tip of his tongue sticking out from the corner of his lips.]

[ Shouto only breaks a few stems on his quest to learn how to make flower crowns.

While he doesn't feel the need to comment about Uraraka's teaching skills, he does nod along with Midoriya's assessment. She's good at teaching them.

It's new to be this covered in flowers. But it's nice. The day is warm, he's with his two closest friends. The only way it could get better is if Iida was there with them.

It doesn't take him too long to make his fancy crown with a few of the purple flowers at the front. One he's finished he sets it gently on Midoriya's head.

Again, a small pleased smile crosses his features. ]

It suits him, right?

[Uraraka-sensei. Don't make her spit all over the pretty flower crowns, please! That would be so, so rude.

But... hmm. She leans back after Shouto places his crown on Deku's head, pretending to give this whole thing some serious consideration, before she winds up laughing delightedly.]

It does! The dandelions look pretty with your hair! [They do, oddly enough. Maybe it's because everything looks nice when it's worn by such a genuinely good person? Who knows!!] Are you going to give your crown to Todoroki-kun?

[inheritance]

[Even though they'd talked about giving each other the flower crowns, Izuku still isn't expecting Todoroki to just drop one on his head like that. He adjusts the flowers, looking oddly bashful as he smiles at the two of them.]

I made two... one for each kind of flower. [Because he's an overachiever.

Izuku reaches up and places the purple flower crown onto Todoroki's head, and then the dandelion one on Ochako's head. They're both a little messy--his crooked right fingers make it a little difficult for things that require some dexterity.] There! Now we all have one.

[glaciers]

[ While he definitely wanted a flower crown from Midoriya, he wasn't expecting to get one. So again another little smile crosses his lips.

It's not perfect, but it didn't have to be. ]

I was right. You both look good with flowers like this.

... Do you think the purple suits me?

[thriftea]

[Who cares if they're a little messy? Deku made them, and that means that they're wonderful. Ochako accepts her dandelion crown without complaint, smiling from ear to ear, because... honestly, this is such a good day. (And she also notes the way Shouto keeps smiling at Deku, but shhh. She's going to keep this a secret. ...For now.)]

I do! I've never seen you wear anything purple, so it's a nice, new look for you.

[And then her eyes slide over to Deku, because come on, buddy, let's hear it.]

[inheritance]

[Izuku beams at both of them, just looking pleased that they like his handiwork, in spite of everything.]

I think you both look great! The yellow is a nice color on you, Uraraka-san. And the purple really suits you, Todoroki.

[It's all said very genuinely, of course, though probably not exactly what Uraraka was hoping for.]

[He's honestly warmed by the genuine compliment. Midoriya's kind, but he wouldn't lie about something like this.]

Sunny colors fit her. [Because it's true.

As for Shouto, he'll consider it for a moment.]
