[He nods, and tries again. He goes a lot more quickly this time, bouncing a bit on the bike as he flies down the cobblestones of Ruga. He makes it down the street, to the end, without falling, though he has to screech to a stop, leaving a bit of a mark (the mark is gray, though, rather than a more satisfying black skid mark).

He turns back to look at Kei, smiling a bit.]

Better?

[He feels pretty satisfied with the praise, smiling just a little bigger. Leader of the Phantom Thieves or no, Akira is still just a kid, at the end of the day.

He looks down at the bike itself as though just now forming an opinion on it.]

It's... nice. [He sounds a little unsure.] I don't know much about them...

[He knows a Harley Davidson is probably pretty expensive since it's American, but other than that...]

[That, at least, is a feeling Akira can understand, even if he can't afford to buy a motorcycle out of rebellious spite like Kei can. The feeling of constantly having eyes on you, judging you... their circumstances are very different, but it's a feeling familiar to Akira.]

It gives you freedom.

[And freedom is valuable. He understands this.]

[That sounds nice, even if it's only brief. He thinks he understands Kei a little better now.

He nods in response, before revving the motorcycle again. He'll give it another spin, maybe go around the block this time.

He gives a little wave to Nanjo, and then he's off!]

[He's not sure just from this is a motorcycle will ever be his preferred mode of transportation, but he's certainly enjoying it for the moment. He rides around the block, turns, comes back, eventually reappearing on the street Nanjo stands on.

Here he comes on his way back...!

...Nanjo should probably move out of the way.]

[He takes it around one more time before finally coming back and rolling to a stop in front of Nanjo. At least he doesn't break hard this time.

He pulls of his helmet, brushing a hand through his hair which is even more frizzy now thanks to all the static.]

How was that?

[He gives it a moment's thought, before grinning. It's small, but full.]

It was pretty cool.

[Riding around on a motorcycle makes him feel just a little more awesome.]

You're almost out of fuel?

[He didn't think of that while he was riding around, but he guesses it's true: there's not really any gas stations here, or even necessarily gasoline anywhere.

What a bummer.]

Ah... sorry for wasting some.
theshowsover: (it must be mine)

[That's a very nice way of looking at it. Akira is actually pretty impressed with that reasoning.

And he has a practical point, too.]

True. I'll keep an eye out.

[Never know when some might show up.]
