[ CLOSED ] life is all memory.

WHO: Dextera, Fran
WHERE: The forest!
WHEN: Sometime… during endgame.
WHAT: Searching for the pages that Pyra mentioned!
WARNINGS: Nothing! And probably nothing to come!

[ things are coming to an end. everyone can sense that, and dextera knows this better than most: as if the forum post wasn’t indication enough, the town is changing by leaps and bounds, and the only thing left to do is ensure that everyone gets their happy ending. one last venture into the forest.

there are many people dextera could do it with, but by the same token, there are plenty of those that should not have to endure all that he knows the forest can throw at them. it was a matter of asking someone he trusts and someone who can handle themselves, and although he wouldn’t consider himself an intimate friend of fran, they have an uncommon connection that he thinks the forest will respect.

plus, she needs her page too. they can help each other. ]

It said the first trial will deal with our voices…

[She has never, in fact, really been able to conceive of a happy ending for herself. Tragedy was her past and therefore likely to be the shape of her future.

But even with everything happening over these past two months, it's been easier than ever to think that unweaving that pattern of fate might be possible. Mordred has said she'll follow her even in the throne. In Dextera, there seems to be a connection she never knew she might have.

...Could Dextera even be a friend?

Still suspicious, still always on her guard, she walks a few steps ahead of him with hackles raised, her shoulders tensed defensively.

Uuuuuh. [There's a little bit of defiance in her grumbled reply to him. It might be more intimidating to hear something like that if either of them wasn't used to having their voices - their words - restricted for them already.] Aaugh? [Like, what is the trial going to do? Prevent her from speaking?]
