[ It wasn't any surprise that the emptiness of the house bothered Caramia. However, the fact that it got to him so quickly was probably the most alarming part. He didn't know how to deal with making a meal for himself, or sleeping alone, or not having anyone around to even say good night to. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that it was just going to be like this now.

And what better way to go about not being able to accept things than just ignoring them entirely? It was surely a super healthy way to deal with your problems! Nothing could possibly go wrong! The following day, after getting quite possibly the worst sleep he had since getting here (even including the nights spent on Hell Siren Island) despite having slept for possibly longer than he had meant to, Caramia still made the decision that he... wanted to try and be useful today. He needed a distraction. And the forest was surely going to be his best bet of killing two birds. Initially, the intention was to go alone, even if being left alone with his thoughts wouldn't have been such a good idea.

Well, perhaps then it was a good thing he ran into Kaoru? ]

Oh, Kaoru. [ He felt a tad sadder just looking at her, but he tried smiling, anyway. ] Are you... busy? Have you eaten?

[She was on her way to visit Caramia specifically because she knew how alone he'd be (and because she was feeling like that too).

But there isn't any sadness to be found in her expression. She smiled like she intended to blind someone with it.]

I ate a bit. [She reaches out to link arms with him, more for his comfort than her own.] I was looking for you.

Were you? That sounds like trouble. [ See! Look, if he makes jokes that means everything is okay. That's how that works. ]

I was planning on a bit of a walk. Would you like to join me?
