Event Twenty-Five.

I'd like to creep into the wood
And see the bonnets blue,
And hear the bluebells ringing loud,
I wish I could -- don't you?

t's another day, another month, and another time for people to show up in the well. You'd better go rescue them! Never mind the fact that you woke up with a flower in your hands.

It's probably fine. Don't mind it at all. It's not like it's hard to ignore a little flower.

(At least, not until the effects start to kick in. Better go rescue the people in the well before they do.)

Oh, right. Even the people in the well have flowers, so... things are going to be a little ridiculous very quickly, when all of those side effects kick in. Have fun!

Welcome to Awash's Twenty-fifth event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post. You are welcome to make your own logs and posts for this event!

If there are any questions, please ask them here. Thank you!

Mm, "it" isn't blatant, not yet anyway.

[ Binghe looks around at their surroundings, taking note of how colourless everything is. It was jarring at first, a stark change when crawling out of the well that had him almost reeling. Even now as crimson eyes adjust, Binghe wonders just what happened to cause such a thing and this new person seems to have an understand, not to mention an offer of help.]

Yes, new. What took the colour away?

[There's a thoughtful hum at that question, as Xie Lian's gaze sweeps over their surroundings.]

Well, I don't believe anything's been clearly revealed just yet, but it was likely caused by the previous inhabitants of this place, before they disappeared.

[He knows there's been a few stories about that previous generation, but. Better to focus on the things he knows for sure.]

What I do know is that our actions here have been helping to bring the color back. How that works is beyond me, but it's made mealtimes rather more interesting, at least.

[ This noise Binghe makes sure is an exasperated one.]

So the people here previous took the colour away and then left. Now people are being brought here without being told and have to restore it?

[ Sounds stupid, Binghe wonders if they'll be able to find the one in charge, see how stupid they truly are...

Wait what?]

Interesting? How so?

I suppose you could put it that way, yes...

[The way he puts it makes it sound like the previous people did all this on purpose? But hey, sure, he's not gonna debate that idea.]

Firstly, it seems that colorless foods tend not to taste right--and those that do have color aren't always the right color. Like this, for example.

[Reaching into his qiankun sleeve, he pulls out...a green peach! And offers it. Go on, have some free food.]

[ Binghe doesn't know if it's on purpose or not. But he can't say it feels entirely random either. Maybe there's some plan they don't know of, he doesn't know, he just understands that the person responsible for this will be very sorry the moment they show their face.

Colourless ...food? The peach gets a slow blink and Binghe gracious accepts it with a small nod of the head and both hands. ]

Is it not ripe...?

Oh no, it's perfectly ripe! That's just the color it is.

[For his next trick, he pulls a handful of turquoise raspberries out of his sleeve! And pops one into his mouth.]

Despite the color, I assure you it tastes just fine.
