[Sounds reasonable enough to Connor. He nods, doing a quick scan to take stock of the various materials.]
They don't make things easy...
[He's getting the feeling that this will be even more complicated than making chocolate. And that was already pretty hard.]
We can divide the clearing by quadrants and search each one for the ingredients in turn. [He moves his arm to indicate the division.] Starting there? [He's picking a random one. There's no real method to this madness.]
[ They agree easily enough - they'd rather have some sort of process than go about it aimlessly, afterall. After his prompting, they don't beat around the bush (pun unintended) to start combing through that quadrant of the clearing, kneeling down to push aside some foliage to get a better look at some of the plants. ]
You'll have to tell me what a "mushroom" looks like. [ Strangely enough, there's actually some variety of wild plants growing here. ] I don't think I've seen one before.
Oh, a mushroom is a type of fungus. [He holds up his hands to try and describe the shape.] They have a stem, and then a flat, round top... I guess they look something like an umbrella?
[If they don't know what an umbrella looks like... Connor might have some problems here.
Meanwhile he's been scanning for any of the plants they're supposed to use... He's never heard of some of these before, so he's neatly pulling out a few that look suspicious and laying them aside.]
[ Damn... they don't know what fungus is OR what an umbrella is. This is turning out to be more difficult than they thought. His gesturing of what the shape must look like does help, and they do end up picking a few out of the bush. ]
Like this?
[ They hold the fungus up for clarification, while they rustle around for rocks to overturn with their other hand. That's where spiders live, right... ]

[He's not totally sure though. Mushrooms have never been important to him on a case before!]
Let's gather the ingredients over there and then... figure out what to do with them.
[While he digs around for... mealworms. Ew.]
