[It makes sense to stick together, with the shadows determined to be as annoying as possible lately. Even if their little pranks are harmless, Izuku can tell that he isn't the only one who'd like to have some peace of mind while he sleeps. There's only so many times you can get tripped up before you start to get fed up.

So with all of them gathered in Yaoyorozu and Uraraka's place in Ruga, and their laptops arranged in a circle around the room for some light to ward the shadows off, maybe they can finally stop looking over their shoulders for one night. That's the hope, anyway.]

[Izuku fiddles with his laptop, turning it up to maximum brightness before setting it down on the floor in front of him. Then he scoots back, taking a look around at the rest of the laptops that have been arranged around the room.]

Okay, that should do it. The light from the laptops should keep the shadows from sneaking up on us in the dark like they were before. Of course, it's not 100% fool proof. They've been messing around with us even during the day, so we know they can still move in the light. [His voice drops lower, one hand coming up to cup his chin as he hunches over and thinks aloud.] It would probably be best to take watch shifts, in case the shadows try anything with all of us here, but with all of us tired from the last couple days, I wonder if it might be better to just take our chances and let everyone rest....

[And there he goes, getting lost in his own head.]

[glaciers]

[He's used to hearing Midoriya mumbling about something or other. And while normally he'd just let him talk endlessly he'd like to sleep.

So he'll reach out and put his hand over Midoriya's forearm.]

You're mumbling a lot.

[Izuku jumps at the contact, startled, but quickly relaxes when he sees it's just his friend.]

Sorry! Just trying to decide what would be the best way to handle this. Do you think we should take shifts. The point is to let us all have a chance to sleep.

... I'll go first, if you want. How hard has it been for you to sleep?

It...hasn't been that bad! Really.

You should get some rest first, Todoroki-kun! I was planning to stay up for the first shift anyway.

[glaciers]

[Shouto squints at him hard, like he's not quite sure he's ready to believe that.]

That's not an answer. How much have you been sleeping? In hours.

[Why does it feel like Todoroki is getting way too perceptive about his white-lying habits...this is unfair.]

Ummm. [Izuku tries not to squirm as he's put on the spot again.] A...couple hours?

[glaciers]

[This time it's because he also hasn't been able to get a full night's sleep.

Which is the worst. He loves sleeping so much.]

Nobody's sleeping well. Go to sleep, Midoriya. I'll watch over everyone.

[inheritance]

[Izuku makes a face at him.] I can't just go to sleep when you're staying awake, Todoroki-kun.

[For one, he doubts that falling asleep when he's this keyed up would be that easy.]

[glaciers]

You have to sleep eventually.

Besides, if I take the first watch I'll be able to sleep uninterrupted until the sun's out.

[There's just the slightest bit of hesitation. Todoroki might be slowly convincing him.]

Is that... what you'd prefer?

[While Izuku wouldn't like Todoroki staying awake for his sake, his friend having an actual preference would change his mind.]

[glaciers]

I'd really like to sleep uninterrupted.

[He loves his sleep, honestly. Getting uninterrupted sleep is a massive plus for him.]

[That seals it, then. With a sigh, Izuku flops onto the blankets behind him.]

Oookay, then. If you're sure. You have to wake me up when it's my turn, okay?

[glaciers]

[Shouto values his friends very much and also being able to sleep as much as he needs. He's not really happy about this shadow problem. The last time the town was weirder than normal the houses were screaming.

Why is it he can't continuously get some normal hours of sleep.

But he's here looking like he's about three seconds away from falling asleep.

There's a very small fire in the palm of his left hand as he watches people start to get comfortable.]

Nope!

[Ochako, blanket draped over her shoulders, gives him a bright smile as she drops down beside his right side. She's definitely sleepy, but this sleepover is much too exciting for her to crash right away. Yes, the circumstances suck, but all of her school friends gathered together under one roof? That's amazing!]

We could ask Yaomomo, I guess, but she's already made so many things. She's probably really tired.

[glaciers]

[He gives a small shake of his head. If Yaoyorozu is tired, then she should rest. Besides, most of the food doesn't taste great right now. Best to conserve her energy.]

That's a shame.

How've you held up?

[She pulls the blanket tighter around herself as she shrugs.]

I've only been tripped a few times, so I'm okay. But what about you?

[glaciers]

[He makes a face and looks away out of embarrassment.]

It hasn't tried to trip me yet.

[thriftea]

[Well, that's suspicious. Should she be worried? He looks fine, but—hmm. Hmm.]

That's good, right? Or... has it tried to do something worse?

[glaciers]

It didn't try to harm me, if that's what you're asking.

[thriftea]

I'm glad! You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. [That's the nice thing to say, and she should probably leave it at that? Except she totally can't.] But friends can tell each other anything, you know? And I am kind of curious.

[At least she admitted it!]

[ Guren did mention opening up to his friends. But it's not like it's anything really destressing. It's just something... Very embarrassing. ]

It said something to Guren.

[Of course she's going to think that it said something bad, and of course she's going to try to reassure him.]

Oh. Well, no matter what it said, I'm sure that Guren didn't take it personally. He's very nice!

[Spill it, Shouto...]

[If Shouto was a cat, his tail would be flicking back and forth in agitation. However, he is not, so instead he just looks embarrassed. In his own, difficult to read way.]

He was teasing me about it.

[Yikes. She's been on the receiving end of the teasing, so, uh... she sympathizes. But! Positivity!]

That's a good sign, then! He'd only tease you if he really didn't mind what your shadow said, so it probably said something completely silly, didn't it?
