Event Twenty-One

Sometimes I feel happy,
Sometimes I feel sad.
Sometimes I feel curious,
Sometimes I feel mad.
Sometimes I feel silly,
Sometimes I feel surprised.
How many feelings,
Do I have inside?

t's another regular, normal day in the Town. There's absolutely nothing to show that anything could possibly be wrong; the birds are chirping, the sky is bright, and everything is absolutely, entirely wrong.

This time, though? The problem is internal. Slowly, bit by bit, people are going to stop feeling entirely like themselves -- or maybe even stop feeling at all.

And suddenly that nice, bright day doesn't seem quite so nice and not quite so bright any longer after all.

Welcome to Awash's Twenty-First event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post. You are welcome to make your own logs and posts for this event!

[ He's still holding one of the android's hands. Now he tries to pick it up and move the arm back and forth, to test the elbow joint. ]

You speak so well! What sort of knowledge do you possess? How are you constructed? Could you make more of yourself? I wonder if you could improve my puppets? This is all really interesting!

[It moves fluidly, like a real person's elbow.]

I was given knowledge necessary for my basic functioning, which is to assist with detectives on cases, as well as other knowledge necessary for general functioning. [And not a lot else, unfortunately...] I was constructed by the engineers at the CyberLife production facility, and I have no means of reproduction.

I don't really know anything about puppets...

[Does that answer everything...?]
espritdecorpse: (is that a fact)

[ He sets the android's arm down and bends forwards, to look at his face. He's completely shameless about it, too, grasping his chin and turning his head this way and that. ]

Detectives and cases. Do you simply follow their orders? Or do you have more complicated functions, like taking note of details or making your own conjectures?

I can note details and make conjectures. I then turn my theories and evidence over to the detective in charge.

[And sometimes do things even when that detective is telling him not to... Oh, the heart attacks he has given Hank...]

But ultimately I am a tool, and I follow their orders.

[ Apparently satisfied, he lets go of the android's face and leans back. ]

Good, good. I was hoping you'd say that. Tell me, what conjectures have you formed about this place? How the various tales and clues and quests all intertwine?

Everything seems to be themed after fairytales, mostly European but there are other cultures mixed in as well. Everything seems to be centered around the emotions of the people in the town, and the relationships they form with each other. And, if the forum is to be believed, it's because there was a curse on the town.

[He pauses. His LED is pulsing yellow as he considers all this.]

I'm not really programmed to believe in magic. But there's been nothing to disprove to me that it really is a curse, and only evidence to back it up.
