[ As weird as he feels about Archer at this minute, he can't help being affected by an offer like that. ]
You can definitely strike a pose! Hmm, let's see... sitting down is boring, how about lying down instead?
[ He has a blanket, intended to ward off any chill his subjects might be feeling, but now he spreads it on the ground. ]
Here, get comfortable!

[ Isn’t posing in such a manner reserved for the women? He recalls a time Artoria had taken a trip to the beach with Master and several other female Servants. And the thought of so many beautiful women in swimsuits…wet and relaxing on a beach after boar-hunting…
On an ordinary day he’d have been embarrassed to even think about it. That’s his king in the swimsuit with the monster-slaying Excalibur-powered water gun, dammit! Right now, though, the memories only make him smile. So he gets down on that blanket, propping himself up on an elbow as if he were lounging at the beach himself. ]
Then how is this?

[ His intention had been mischief and teasing, asking Archer to lie down. But it seems that his plan has backfired. His eyes involuntarily sweep up Archer's body, long-limbed and lithe, with his scarlet hair spilling about his shoulders and onto the blanket, finally resting on that... that smile, dyed in a hint of wickedness.
...
If I were a woman, he thinks to himself, I wouldn't be able to resist such a sight. Even now, he can feel his heart tremble. ]

My goodness, brother Archer! Looking like that, so relaxed and alluring... hahaha! if you invited me to bed, I'd have a hard time refusing!
no subject
Certainly, there is room here, Wuxian, if I must take you away from your canvas.

...something he's wanted to do ever since they met, he realizes. ]
I'll admit, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, since you confessed to me.
no subject
[ To what? Did he do something wrong? Tristan leans in to Wei Wuxian’s touch, humming appreciatively at the man’s talented fingers. Had he committed some transgression against Wuxian? Did Shen Qingqiu perhaps…
No, he can’t imagine he would. But it doesn’t trouble him so much, because Wuxian is a good friend and he’s sure they can sort whatever this is out. ]
Well, if there is anything I can do to put your heart at ease, you have but to name it, Wuxian.
no subject
[ What a dangerous offer, he thinks to himself gleefully. He twirls a lock of red hair around his finger. ]
It's a been a while since I last tasted your lips.
[ Watching the man sputter and blush.... this will be really entertaining! ]
no subject
[ What an odd way of putting it…but then, he’d known Wuxian to be quite the poet! And a jester, besides, so Tristan can’t help but chuckle lightly at it. ]
I do not imagine that it would be a terribly exciting experience.
[ In fact, it makes him a little sad to think about, recalling the time he had kissed Wuxian out of necessity. Even though that turned out to be all a lie… ]
no subject
You did say anything. Are you going back on your word?
no subject
Nah. ]
Certainly not. [ But he does grow a little more somber at it. ] I simply thought that Xie Lian might suit your attentions better.
no subject
Xie Lian? No, no, no. That was all just a big misunderstanding. I used to call him "dearest wife" as a joke, because he appeared in this world clad in a red wedding dress and veil. Others overheard, and well... haha, things got out of hand! But it's all resolved now!
[ he... thinks........
they told Pyra, anyway. ]
no subject
Poor Pyra…
[ To think she’d gone out of her way to make the announcements and even tell the others and—but now that he thinks back on it, it all makes sense now. That is—as much sense as can be gleaned when you’re dealing with Wei Wuxian over here. Xie Lian is after all rather meek, and Wei Wuxian’s eccentric behavior can be misread by others. Tristan of all people knows that Wuxian’s generally just fooling around with all this flirting! ]
I hope you will make it up to her. She had seemed quite earnest about this entire affair, and so had I…
[ So had Nero. Really, you guys have a lot to answer for!! ]

He draws his hand away at that. He'd been lying down opposite Archer, but now he sits up crosslegged beside the man. Shame is welling up inside him. ]
I want to, but I just don't know how—
no subject
A-aaaa? You too? I didn't think anybody except Pyra really...
[ Well, Shen Qingqiu too. But he's a tenderhearted fool, anybody knows that. ]
no subject
[ And given that it’s the manifestation of one of her greatest accomplishments in life as well as a damn fine building in general, well… ]
Quite the incredible honor, that.
[ But he sits up as well, feeling that old sense of shame of his welling up within him. ]
But I think…I understand why you had to go through this charade in the first place. I hesitated to question Xie Lian about the occasion, but now…
no subject
A number of people knew about the wedding before I did. One of the ways things got out of hand, is that I was never sure of Xie Lian's feelings on the matter, even though I tried to speak to him on a number of occasions. I'd feared that calling him "dearest wife" all the time might have given him the wrong idea...
[ He exhales; and then looks up at Archer, smiling helplessly. ]
But after the invitation went out, he definitively said that he didn't want to get married, so at least that part's resolved!
no subject
Then I am sorry for having brought it up with Lan Wangji as well. If fewer people had known about this affair, then you might have been able to resolve it much sooner.
[ For his, Xie Lian’s, and Pyra’s sakes. But geez, Tristan can’t really feel mad when all’s said and done—because of course he believes Wei Wuxian wholeheartedly. ]
How sad…
no subject
[ A beat. ]
Do you... have any ideas? About how to, er, make it up to maidens?
[ Since you brought it up, and all. ]
no subject
The old-fashioned way would be through a letter, perhaps with a gift humbly expressing your profound contrition.
[ The more modern methods are a little out of their depth at the moment… ]
Regardless, you are a clever man. No doubt they would be thrilled with anything you might come up with.
no subject
[ He glances down, thinking. A painting, a piece of calligraphy, a poem... flowers from the forest... he'll think of something.
He takes a deep breath and exhales, his shoulders coming down and his features smoothing out. He looks up at Archer, smiling genuinely. ]
Thanks. I mean it.
no subject
[ After all, there’s one more favor he has to make. He tucks a lock of red hair behind his ear and leans down to give Wei Wuxian that kiss he’d promised earlier. It’s over quickly as Tristan rises to his feet, none the worse for wear following that ordeal. ]
But I should not be keeping you from your work any longer.
[ Surely there are much more interesting subjects for him to paint! ]

no subject
.......huh?
[ Did this guy take lessons from Shen Qingqiu on surprise kissing people? ]
no subject
Haaaa....hahaha.
[ It takes him a moment to find his feet, but he does manage to stand. ]
I...
[ He considers asking the man to stay, as he hasn't actually painted his portrait yet; but some part of him realizes that that might be a bit dangerous, considering the strange fluttering feeling in his chest and the warm sensation in his cheeks. He rubs the back of his head, grinning sheepishly. ]
All right. I guess I... I'll see you later.
