[ there’s no denying that it’s a weird way to say hello, but it’s also not exactly what he was trying to do. his reaction, however, makes dextera take a mental step back. ]

[ it’s unexpectedly kind, after the way dextera threw himself into such an introduction, and he deflates somewhat—a good thing, considering he was practically chomping at the bit to confess his crimes. ]

[ the number of details in it alone would probably have wei wuxian throwing up his hands and backing out before even addressing the gravity of dextera’s sins, so he seems like he’s going to leave that there—but after a beat, he continues. ]
