I try not to profoundly disturb my friends, so fair enough, no bowing. But still...

[ King Arthur really was a big deal, and even if Maya's interest hadn't been in understanding and learning more about foreign literature, that name isn't one that's all that obscure. ]

I have to admit, it's pretty cool to get to know the Round Table a lot better than I ever thought I would!

Better than most people ever will, I dare say. Mordred never revealed her face in public, and I posed as a man for the entirety of my rule. I imagine this knowledge would be upsetting to no few people.

You exaggerate. I am nothing like Guinevere, Iseult, or any of the truly beautiful women of my time. In fact, I am a little concerned that you would describe me thus...

[ She's had to act masculine for most of her life, after all. Has she been bad at it all along?? ]

I was indeed too small to pass for an ordinary man, but it was a simple matter to explain away. When I pulled Caliburn from the stone, I stopped aging physically. There were some who found this unnerving or were hesitant to serve a king who appeared a boy, but it served to disguise my gender. None questioned me overlong as long as I ruled with righteousness.

That's... a pretty unfortunate side-effect. But I still think you're pretty-- but then again, Archer is also ridiculously pretty, so maybe that was just a Camelot thing?

The quality of King Arthur's rule is still of some debate in Saber's mind, however, so she gently ignores that comment. ]

Yes, Tristan was famously handsome. Many from the Round Table were. I sometimes thought our lives might be easier if that were not the case...

[ Merlin. Not even a Round Table Knight, but Saber sends her exasperated thoughts toward him regardless. ]

But they were good knights all. I am happy to hear that humanity has recognized their good works.

Now you sound like a proud parent. It kind of makes me want to try and get my name in history, too!

[ Well. She'd helped save the world, but literally no one is ever going to know that, or even acknowledge people like Minato, who had sacrificed himself for it. Such is the Persona curse. ]

It is never too late to make a mark on the world. As long as you live with conviction and a bold heart, you are sure to move the people around you. But I do not think I need to tell you that; you already have the qualities of a fine leader.

How refreshing. It's always nice to talk to people youthful and optimistic like Maya. Mordred was fortunate to get her as a housemate. Speaking of which... ]

If I may walk our conversation back a step, how have you and Mordred been getting along as housemates?

She's a little rough around the edges, but we haven't had any problems. She gets embarrassed more easily than I thought, though.

[ Maybe because Maya is a little too straightforward, but. It's fine!! ]
