Open Mingle for Post Dragon Invasion Clean Up

WHO: Everyone in Town
WHERE: All over
WHEN: After the dragons leave
WHAT: Repairing buildings, dealing with dragon corpses, freaking out about the encroaching forest, dealing with injuries, etc.
WARNINGS: Dead dragons, maybe.

The dragons sure did a number on the town, didn't they?

Buildings have been burned down (or crushed), the forest has apparently decided to play at territory invasion (again) and there are dragon cadavers around the town.

And, unfortunately, these things don't magically take care of themselves.

Thankfully, as long as everyone pitches in, clean up shouldn't be too hard!

Maybe. Assuming at least a few people know what they're doing. Except, you know, apparently the trees on the edge of town grow back the next day if destroyed.

She's another special esper! She's a psychokinetic like me but she's older than us! She used to work alone instead of on a team but she's actually super sweet and nice. Oh! She's recently teamed up with another psychokinetic and her weirdo twin brother. Together they're Wild Cat and the Little Mice.

[That sounds like a band name...]

Is it more normal for espers to work alone, or in groups?

[It does, doesn't it?]

It depends on the esper and the powers involved, but at Babel, it's more common for special espers to work in teams. And sometimes we'll work with other teams too. Wild Cat has worked with us more than once when we needed an extra psychokinetic. [Then, as if she just remembered it, she pointed at herself.] Our team is called the Children, by the way.

[The Children seems pretty vague. Not that Akira can really talk - his is a group of Phantom Thieves, and he simply named them the Phantoms.]

Were you the only children?

[Or was it because of their super future selves?]

Well, we were the youngest to ever join Babel...I've never actually asked the Chief why we're called that.

[She looks thoughtful.] I don't think all the team names are supposed to mean something. I mean, the Hound does because they specialize in work related to animals and their powers are related to that. But the Director called herself the Sleeping Snow White and apart from sleeping a lot that has nothing to do with what she does.

So it's just whatever sounds cool.

[He can get behind that, honestly.]

We're called The Phantoms. [Might as well admit his own dumb naming scheme while they're at it.]

Probably. That seems like something the Chief would do.

[And she doesn't mind it herself.]

Did you guys come up with that yourselves?

They wanted me to come up with something...

[He's not creative.]

The others' suggestions weren't much better.

What did they suggest?

The Diamonds and Tilefish Poele.

...Tilefish Poele? What does that even mean?

It's what he had to eat at the time.

[Morgana only care about fish.]

...that's one way to come up with a name, I guess.

I'm glad the chief didn't name us the Coffee or something.

[He laughs.]

Does your chief like coffee? Maybe we'd get along.

...no. You probably wouldn't. He gets really weird about boys that are friends with us. It's actually really annoying.

Doesn't want you dating anyone, huh?

[Sounds like Sojiro...]

Yeah. Aoi and Shiho went on dates this one time when we were ten and he mobilized the army to sabotage them.

[She says, as if she hadn't helped. Look she had been a stupid 10 year old. What's the Chief's excuse?]

That's... intense.

[Did he really have to get the army involved!?]

What happened?

It's wasn't that bad. Mostly everyone was just complaining about him and putting in half-hearted efforts.

[Until Kaoru got involved anyway. But again. She was 10.]

And of course, the three of us worked together and kicked their asses. And then the Chief got in trouble with Kashiwagi-san.

[Getting the army involved is... half-hearted?]

At least it worked out...

[For the girls, not the Chief, it sounds like.]

[His efforts weren't half-hearted. But everyone else just complained about misuse of tax money.]

Minamoto and Kashiwagi-san have been keeping a much closer eye on him since then. Really, what is he doing, trying to get in the way of a girl's first date?

[Again, says the person who was out to ruin those dates too. Who is now shrugging like it was unreasonable and childish.]

Anyway, I think you'd get along better with Kashiwagi-san anyway.

[Well, at least she knows better now...]

What is Kashiwagi-san like?

[He seems to get along with a lot of adults, though, so he isn't too worried...]

Kashiwagi-san is a natural beauty! She's also responsible and personable and she's good at getting along with others with a smile! Of course, when she gets mad she can also be pretty scary but she only ever gets mad at the Chief so it's fine.

Well if there's no chance of me making her mad, I would like to meet her.

[He'd do it even if he would make her mad though, he ain't scared!]

I bet the two of you would be swapping drink making tips in no time!
