WHAT: Repairing buildings, dealing with dragon corpses, freaking out about the encroaching forest, dealing with injuries, etc.
WARNINGS: Dead dragons, maybe.

The dragons sure did a number on the town, didn't they?

Buildings have been burned down (or crushed), the forest has apparently decided to play at territory invasion (again) and there are dragon cadavers around the town.

And, unfortunately, these things don't magically take care of themselves.

Thankfully, as long as everyone pitches in, clean up shouldn't be too hard!

Maybe. Assuming at least a few people know what they're doing. Except, you know, apparently the trees on the edge of town grow back the next day if destroyed.

Yeah! It's a classic! Godzilla is this huge prehistoric monster that came from the sea and attacked Tokyo! Its special attack is his atomic heat beam that comes out of his mouth!

[He huffs, unimpressed. (Not that he has any right to be, considering he only understood half of what she said.)]

With a name like that, I should have known. It sounds to me that you've just described a dragon.

It doesn't have wings though. But it makes up for that by being taller than a skyscraper!

[Yeah. She won't explain what that is either if not prompted.]

It's a type of really tall building that can be hundreds of metres high! It'd have twenty or forty floors and each of them are filled with offices or apartments. They're made of steel but instead of walls, the outside are all covered in windows.

[His expression shifts, confusion giving way to scrutiny.]

What purpose do they serve? This skyscraper sounds grievously vulnerable.

I guess they give the people inside the best view? Being that high up, the view is pretty amazing!

And anyway, the glass is pretty strong!

If it is as tall as you say, few arrows could hope to reach so high . . .

Well, most people don't use arrows these days.

What do they use, then?

Guns. [Ah, wait. He probably wouldn't know what those were, huh?] They're sort of like bows except they shoot small pieces of metal or darts and instead of using a string [However those worked. He didn't know anything.] they use explosions to shoot them.

You mean to tell me that these guns are incapable of penetrating your glass walls?

Not if they're shooting from the ground. Guns are pretty heavily regulated in Japan though.

Japan . . . Is that the name of your country?

It's the country I'm from, yeah.

[Which isn't the same as her country.] It's an island country in Asia.

Those names are unfamiliar to me. But an island country, you say . . . What else can you tell me?

So they don't exist where you're from?

Well, Japan isn't that big as far as countries go but it has a huge population! It's also the birthplace of anime and otaku culture! It also has three Level 7 espers who make up the world's cutest esper team, the Children!

Yeah. It's based on how strong their power readings are. Level 1 is the lowest and Level 6 is the last level that can be measured. Anything stronger than that is Level 7. But you know, that's only raw power. It still depends a lot on the person using it! And of course, Synthetic Power users and multiple power users can be tricky.
