[Humanity as a whole is awful. He's seen it for so many years, the balance of good enough human souls that reincarnate and the ones that end up as prinnies getting greater year by year.
Val doesn't flinch away, doesn't move from the attack. The hands hits, which means Shizun is transported into Val's heart.
Unlike most of the other people, who he doesn't know or is fond of, he sees a different heartscape. Instead of the open floorplan of Hades, there's a church. A young woman, pink hair and in a nun's habit, getting backstabbed by a knight.
"I-I did it! I killed the traitor."
Valvatorez himself is here, looking taller and oddly older. He's there, by the woman's side as she collapses, completely ignoring Shizun's presence. Frustration and anger warp the walls of the church- but it's still there. It's all that's in his heart right now.
The woman says something to Valvatorez, and he shakes his head.
She pleads with him for something else, and he hesitates. "Please don't kill them." The only part of their conversation that's audible to Shizun.
But his bloodlust is high. The entire church goes red.]
