WHAT: Shiho finally feels well enough again to attempt to hunt down all the diamonds she coughed up because some old crone blessed her and some questing things.

Or maybe you're in the middle of nowhere, who knows. But in that exact moment, there's a voice from behind you sounding oh-so-very-concerned.]

Wait, there's a trap!

[There is, of course, no trap. What there will be though, on closer inspection: a tiny diamond sparkling on the ground.]

B. What does she even do with all these diamonds
[Or maybe you beat her to it, the diamond sparkling in your hand. This time though, she draws what looks to be a hairdryer (or if you know better, a Nonlethal Psychometry Gun):]

Drop it.

[What'll she do if you don't drop it?

Threaten to shoot you, probably. She's been laid out sick from the thorns for a few days and she needs to destress, damn it!]

[On a regular old day, a regular sort of afternoon, Shiho is sitting at the table with her breakfast, looking at the door with unveiled interest. After all, she's heard from Kaoru what happened when she made a wish come true and she's curious!

The moment Kyrie steps in, she's all (suspicious) smiles, bouncing up from the table with a cheerful:]

You're back!

[He'd picked up the diamond because he was wondering what that shiny thing was. He was staring at it (mentally admiring the cut on it, wondering if anything would happen if he put it in the back of his amulet) when a girl started to...wait.]

Is this a robbery?

[ Jion freezes in mid-step, foot still raised, and give Shiho a startled look over his shoulder. ]

-- a trap?

[ Then he looks around, a little fretful, a little alarmed. He wobbles slightly on his feet; balancing on one foot without warning is harder than he would have thought. ]

What kind of trap? Tripwire? Mine? Wait, how did you know about this trap?

Yeah, that's... definitely more than a little bit suspicious. Juuust a tad.

"Yes, and I seem to have made it home just in time." No sooner does the door click shut behind him before he spares a glance out the nearest window, as if to double-check something. "If I'd known we were due for a shower of fire and brimstone, I would have never gone out."

He keeps his expression and tone otherwise politely neutral, opting to wait it out and see what sort of trap it is he's walked into.

Of course it is, you robber.

[Since that diamond is (on a technicality) hers.]

...wait. Hold up! Since when did I become the robber? Aren't you the one trying to rob me here?

[ Maya jerks her foot back instantly, standing there as though she is a proud flamingo waiting for combat. ]

What trap?!

[oh no it's Maya-nee.]

Ah-

[Recognizing Shiho's voice, Izuku immediately goes still. It's extra alarming, knowing that the warning's coming from her.]

A trap? Did you see something, Shiho-san?

[It doesn't hurt to be cautious, especially after that whole business with the thorns.]

... Please don't kid about traps. I have minor trauma.

[ Lasers and overwhelming heat-- ]

Sorry... I just kind of need something beside your foot.

[Where did all these good, kind people who trust her come from.....]

Just.... don't move. [She'll explain this after. He'll (probably, hopefully) forgive her as she kneels down to pick a diamond out of the snow.]

[ She sets her foot down finally, peering closely at the ground and-- ]

Wait, you mean this diamond?

[Just accept that you're a good person with a lot of trusting friends, Shiho.]

What is it? [Though Izuku's staying in place, just like she'd asked, he still watches her warily while she reaches for the diamond, ready to jump into action in case the trap is sprung.]

[Like a guilty child caught in a lie, Shiho shuffles a little closer to scoop the diamond up in the hopes that hiding it means Maya will forget about it.]

Maybe. I might as well pick these up since I dropped them. Otherwise it's... littering or something.

[ Nero meanwhile, has been going around town trying to spot some stray diamonds (and picked up a bunch already thanks to her keen Servant eyes, though she will not mention where she's stashed them), and stops right as Shiho calls out. She looks at the approaching girl with curious eyes. ]

How do you know this one is a trap?

Huh?! I mean, okay, but --

[ He wobbles a bit even as he says it, jerking one arm forward as a counterweight to keep himself upright. ]

-- but shouldn't you stay away if there's a trap? It'd be bad if you got hurt ...

Helping, she says!! But her intent is made pretty clear with just that, and THAT means Kyrie can relax a little. He drops his hat on the table as he nears.

"If I do that, we really will have fire and brimstone," he says with a short laugh. "I refuse, of course. I hope you weren't expecting anything else."

If Shiho has anything left on her plate that can be eaten by hand without much fuss, he's absolutely going to try to take a piece. Quickly, but also carefully, because he'd rather not get stabbed for it thanks.

[ of course he picked up a diamond he found on the ground? Who do you think he is?! He doesn't know where it came from, but he figures he can pass it on to Cairngorm for safekeeping (or possible use, if a "Diamond" ever shows up) - he was not expecting Minato's girlfriend to pop up out of almost nowhere armed with a hairdryer.

-- If it isn't Miss Shiho! Just the girl I've been hoping to see.

[ completely ignoring her command and the weapon(?), he smiles at her, sticking the diamond in one pocket and simultaneously holding his other hand out for a shake. ]

I'm Lupin. Minato's told me all about you.

You... dropped diamonds.

[ Shiho, she's looking at you so strangely. ]

[ A trap??? Momo starts, shoulders drawn back and hands up above his head.

The only thing he sees is a diamond... so, of course, his gut instinct is to be theatrical and playful. He squeezes his eyes shut, shakes his head. ]

Waah!! Is this punishment for my pure heart wavering a little when it saw that diamond...?! I wasn't trying to be a thief, I swear! Don't chop off my hands!

[She doesn't deserve all these amazing friends.]

Something I dropped. [And then because the guilt is too much, she holds it out for him to see. It's a diamond, sparkling on her palm.]

Some stuff kind of happened a while back and... diamonds... started coming out of my mouth.
