[ Inviting your friends to your Newly Pimped out Crib is kind of standard in Lottie's book. Why? So she can brag about how she has PLUMBING now and other people don't!! But out of the kindness of her tar black heart, she'll let her special friend use it. Crying would ensue, her ego would skyrocket.

..At least, that's how it went in her head. In reality, the spiel already came and went with little fanfare. Which left her to continue playing host and show Sierra around the house before they get down to the real reason why both of them are there. ]

So do you want coffee or anything before we start? [ They end up in the kitchen, with Lottie leaning against the counter. ] Or like a snack?? I uh, think I have like a bag of Hot Cheetos somewhere..

[ Reaping a shit ton of nice rewards from last month definitely helped to encourage Lottie's new proactive behavior towards completing quests. She's got something close to her old apartment back, electricity, a phone stuck in a bear trap.. Living the life honestly! No troubles at all!!

Except she still doesn't like going out alone all too much, much less for questing, and since the gems are busy being.. Rocks, probably hanging out with Lupin, it gives her an excuse to hit up Connor without seeming clingy. The first message goes well (wyd) but then she kind of chickens out (JK nevermind lol) and sulks in her room. ]

..Whatever, Lottie Person doesn't need anyone!! [ She says, bitterly, scrolling through the quests. ] I can do whatever I want! I'll kiss a frog! I'll do it all by myself!

[ .. But, you know, it'd be better if she got Connor to help anyway. In case any of these icky frogs have diseases, she thinks, as she makes her way over to where she knows he lives. He'd have to know stuff like that, obviously! ]

I don’t know what Hot Cheetos are.

[ sierra is familiar with coffee, and “snacks” for that matter, but lottie as usual drops brand names that she has no idea about. still, it’s no harm done, because sierra is going to lock down this quest.

she’s not good at things like granting wishes, really, but how hard can it be? ]

Just tell me what you want, or I’ll pick something myself.

[And meanwhile...

Connor saw the messages a bit after she sent them, responding back with I'm sorry I missed you. Could you explain what "wyd" means? "What're you doing"?

But he doesn't get far beyond that because, quite suddenly, he's very tiny.

He immediately attempts to run a scan to see what the issue is (maybe his perception has malfunctioned) only to quickly find he... can't. In fact, none of his interfaces are working.

This is a more serious malfunction than he assumed. He starts to reach with his hand and that's when he realizes:

He's a frog.

A totally normal frog. A living frog.

He lets out what should probably have been a scream but comes out as a loud croak. Why is he a frog!?

And unfortunately, this comes with a lot of new feelings - namely, panic. He hops around on the chair for a bit in froggy fury, trying to figure out how the hell he stops being a frog and starts being an android again.

Finally, he realizes that staying in this room probably isn't going to help him any. He has to set out! And so... down he goes!

The nice thing is that his new frog legs have good jumping power. He crosses the room to the door in record time. Now he just has to tackle the stairs.

Alright... here he goes!]

[ Did Connor have a roommate? Shit, why did she have to tune out that part of the conversation? Lottie finds her way easily to his home, fuming quietly at how awkward this probably will be and at the same time battling with her clear desire to just be around him.

It's when she reaches the front door she struggles with the idea of knocking. Should she just go in?? It'd be polite to knock, but they're already so close.. He hangs out at her house all the time, the gems both know him - probably Lupin, too.

If it was any of her friends at home she'd just text them. But she totally botched that. Ugh! Typical Lottie, making things harder for herself no matter what. ]

..H-Helloo!

It's me, Lottie? [ She decides to peek through the door, kind of letting herself in but at the same time announcing her entry before forcing her presence onto the property. Lottie tries especially hard to not sound apprehensive about this whole ordeal, even more as she steps through the doorway and into the house. ] Connor! Are you there?

[ Huh.. Oh yeah. Sierra's from Ye Olde times and not Lottie's more modern one.. How does she keep forgetting that? ] ..Wanna see the bag? [ She reaches towards where she left it on the counter, clip on the top of it.

The clip isn't on very well but it seals it enough to keep it fresh. Lottie brings it over so Sierra can read it - or, optionally? Snack on it. ]

And no thanks, I got one. I thought about this a lot, so it's really good! There's no way we'll get fucked on this. My wish is I want a new screen protector for my phone.

[ sierra takes the bag in hand, reading the back—it’s honestly almost inscrutable to her with all the too-cool slang and the myriad chemical ingredients, but she does read it. ]

I see.

[ she pulls a modestly sized piece from the bag while lottie explains her very good idea, and she has to pretend it isn’t burning her mouth to hell when she responds. why… is it so hot… but also so strangely delicious? ]

Mm… is a screen protector something… specific?

[ She doesn't really consider that other people might not be used to spicy things much like the very scrumptious Hot Cheetos™ Sierra is currently chewing. Lottie doesn't really key in that Sierra is suffering as much as she is enjoying this new taste venture, instead only slightly questioning the way she's talking. ]

It's uh, like a thing you use to protect your screen. Like if my phone fell and it didn't have a screen protector it would crack all over. Mine is kind of ratty though, is why I brought it up..

[ if sierra fucks up this wish, it’s completely because she’s eating something spicy after only eating veggies and blood for eight centuries, and not because she’s just bad at magic. ]

Then it will be done.

[ she pauses. sniffs the bag. does she want another one… ]

Give me your “phone.”

[ why is she sniffing the bag, ]

...Alright.

[ Lottie decides not to question it, instead digging her phone out of her pocket to hand over to Sierra. ]

[Lottie!?

Connor hears her as he's partway down the stairs, jumping steps a few at a time. It's curious how being so small changes his experience with gravity and physics, and it might be interesting to explore that except Lottie is here.

Lottie is here and he's a frog.

It's a little embarrassing, but he has to get her attention; maybe she can help him somehow. So he finishes hopping down the stairs and springs in her direction, yelling, "Miss Person, Miss Person!"

Except it comes out as a series of ribbits.]

[ she’s thinking, lottie!!! ]

Hm.

[ sierra sets the bag aside, for now deciding it’s better not to throw off her own groove with spicy food, and gently takes lottie’s phone. it feels so delicate in her hands—a screen protector certainly would do wonders for it, in whatever form that protection comes. ]

Let’s see… [ sierra places the phone on the table, scrunches up her face, and then—! ]

[ —a whole-ass bear trap magically appears around the phone, to prevent anyone from picking it up. ]

Oh… my.

[ Whoa.. The little frog that ribbits down the stairs is definitely new. As she stares down at it, all she can think is that this is WAY too convenient for someone like her. There's gotta be some kind of catch.. But Lottie's feeble single-minded brain can't really think of any real reason to be suspicious, other than the gut feeling she has. ]

..Did he get a frog or something? [ She mumbles to herself, crouching down to get a better look at it. ] Did he REALLY not tell me he got a pet?

[ Well. It's time for the smart, beautiful, and SUPER knowledgeable human to step in. ]

Man, Connor is so irresponsible! Wait 'til he sees how good of a pet owner I am! He's gonna be so impressed.

[ HAH! She's going to look so cool when she shows him she can take care of this thing. Maybe she'll even give him pointers whenever he comes back! All of this Mad Flexing is easier said than done though, because now that she decides she wants to pick up the frog she's.. Totally freaking out.

Her sleeve is pulled down all the way to cover her hand as she hesitantly inches it towards the frog on the ground. ]

C'mon, little... Froggy?

[ Lottie is slack jawed for a few seconds, staring at the bear trap as a whole and then her phone. Her next instinctual reaction, which she does with no hesitation, is to raise her voice out of a whole mix of different emotions. ]

Is... Is that....

[ Emotions like disbelief, confusion, anger.. Panic. Mostly panic. ]

Is that a BEAR TRAP?? SIERRA! This is SO not what I meant!

[ sierra is not the type to openly take joy in the misery of others, but the second option is being embarrassed by screwing up the wish this badly, so she simply tries to hide her smile behind her hand. ]

It works, doesn’t it?

[Little Froggy!?

It didn't occur to him a moment ago, but now it does - she doesn't know he is the frog. She thinks he's an actual frog! Which is preposterous but... there's no evidence she can see to the contrary. Of course she would come to that conclusion.

But what is he going to do now? He has to get her to know he's a frog... Maybe he can figure something out if he goes wherever she wants to take him.

So he hops into her hand, settling down once he's in her palm. He gives another ribbit, though he knows now it doesn't mean anything to her.]

What...

[ Lottie dramatically stumbles into the counter, using an arm to steady herself on it before responding. ]

If it works.. Then how the hell do I get my phone out of there? In one piece??

[ Is it weird that holding a living thing like this frog is kind of freaking her out even more???? Definitely. Perks of never owning a pet, because you're allergic to everything, is the inability to treat pets like.. Pets.

Which explains why Lottie, despite having the little thing in the palm of her hand, is kind of scared to do anything to put the life of this frog in jeopardy. Over time, she manages to get past her initial spook and bring the frog to eye level, using a finger on her free hand to reach for a tiny one on the frog. Just kind of... Examining it. ]

Erm.. [ Now that she thinks about it.. ] I would've thought he got a dog first before a frog, but.. You're still kinda cute. Do you wanna hang out with me and look for Connor's room?

I suppose you activate it.

[ the trap will snap shut on anything that brushes it, but isn’t that a small price to pay? what’s important is that the quest is complete. the screen has been protected. ]

Dude, I know how a bear trap works!! I was being sarcastic, obviously!

[ It's to trap bears!!! And weird men who trespass on your property in movies!! Or for murderers! Lottie, after indulging in her anger, takes a shaky breath. To, you know, try and calm herself. ]

[ It only partially works. ]

..You know what, it's only fair I grant YOU a wish!

What? Oh, no, you don’t have to. I have nothing to wish for.

[ please don’t ]

[ Oh Yes.. She will. But like the Merciful God she is, Lottie will give her a chance to make the experience somewhat pleasant! ]

If you don't want to tell me something then I'll just grant a wish for you. Your choice, Sierra!
