[When all jokes about his name and dressing habits were had Eijirou and Kaoru had eventually managed to get together and go wolf hunting. Or at least that was their excuse, for the most part they were just exploring the woods while hoping to find something edible at this point.]

I still think getting it to bite me would be the most humane way.

[Kirishima has his extra red cloth from his hero outfit slung around his shoulders rather than his waist and is gesturing widely.]

That way the wolf won't feel like he couldn't even put up a fight like it would if you just used your powers. We need to be mindful of the animal too, if it's a normal one!

[She had nothing red to wear, but then again, she didn't have to, did she? She was the woodcutter...okay, one who was wearing a miniskirt and looked vaguely like a cosplayer, but still!

Kaoru's feet were firmly on the ground but there seemed to be a nonexistent shoujo breeze blowing through her hair. It was a bad habit, really.]

I don't know why the wolf's feelings matter. And isn't it better to scar it for life? Then it won't try to attack someone who can't protect themselves.

Don't be like that. If the wolves here are normal animals and no monsters then we gotta treat them properly too! From one top-hunter to another!

[He waves his hands pointlessly to prove his point and then stops. Kirishima frowns and then sticks a finger up before he waves his hand next to her hair - nope, no breeze there either.]

Have you ever heard of a lion going easy on a gazelle? Don't be naive, Ei-chan! The animal kingdom is a cruel place where only the strongest survive!

[She says even though when she had gone on the harpy hunting mission she hadn' killed a single harpy.

...she's not sure what he's done when he's waving his hand near her, and she actually leans back a little because...what? Was there something on her face...?]

Doing what? [She almost reaches back to catch a lock of hair to look at it before it clicks. Oh. Ooooh.]

Ah...I didn't even notice. [She smiles sheepishly, like someone caught biting their nails, her hair follows the law of gravity again, falling limp against her shoulders.]

...is it weird? Was a lot more self-conscious than she'd have liked, but it really was the first time anyone had said anything about it.

She tried her hardest not to do it as much at school where people didn't know she was a high level esper and around the people who knew no one ever pointed out her psychic version of a hair twirling habit.]

True, but have you ever heard of a lion trying to pick a fight with a tiger? We're far more dangerous than gazelles!

[A classic feat of all UA heroics students is that their first reaction to danger is looking out for others and trying to kick said danger in the teeth for breaking peace. Running away isn't really an option he ever considers.

There was one exception. Two, actually, but Kirishima tries hard to only let their run-in with All For One count as he had truly been as out of their leagues as a lion trying to fight a volcano would have been.]

Weird? No, not at all! Being able to control your quir- eh, your powers that much that you can just casually keep training with them even while you are thinking and doing something else is really awesome! I'm sometimes doing something like that too, but it's way more obvious and simple than what you are doing!

I never said we were the gazelles. But if you want to be a gazelle I don't mind being the lioness all by myself. Everyone knows lionesses are cooler than lions, anyway.

[They were clearly the lions here, Kirishima.

She will never entirely understand the extent of his excitement about her powers. He definitely liked them a lot more than she did.]

It's not like this is training. It's just a habit...you know, like how some people fidget because they can't sit still. I don't even mean to do it most of the time. I think it's something that happens with psychic powers sometimes. If anything, people would probably say it's because I need better control that this happens at all.

[He makes an understanding noise and nods, not really knowing what to say for or against that logic.]

For that lions have the better hair, though. Anyway, can I be a tiger if we're already doing animal parts? Or maybe a wolf?

[Some people have said that his spiked muzzle-mask paired with his adjusted hairdo gives him a lion-like appearance when he is in his hero costume, but Kirishima doubts those people meant like ...actually real-life lions. More like the guardian lions you find in front of temples.]

I see! So it's like that... Don't worry, I'm used to way weirder tic's than a little breeze! Bakugou keeps popping those mini-fireworks in his palms whenever he's worked up and Asui sometimes hangs off one of classroom or dorm walls when she feels like it too.

So all lions have going for them is their looks and awesome hair? And you can be whatever animal you want, but being a wolf attacking another wolf seems a bit strange doesn't it? It's like you two are fighting over territory or something.

[Don't get into pissing contests with the wildlife, Kirishima.

She laughs.]

I guess compared to that, mine does seem a bit boring, doesn't it?

[She relaxes a little (feels an odd sort of relief, knowing that he didn't think she was strange) and though her hair didn't go back to floating she does smile at him as she leans over to link their arms.]

Come on, Red Riding Riot, let's go find the Big Bad Wolf!

That's sort of true, though, isn't it? [He chuckles at her.]

I wonder what this person needs its tooth for, though. The challenges seem fun enough to do as just that, but I can't help but wonder ...why?

[He lets her lead him by the arm without any hesitation, showing full trust in that Kaoru won't steer him against the next three or into some bushes.]

That's the question, isn't it? Hopefully it's just for a necklace or something and not anything dangerous.

[What could they make with wolves' teeth anyway? Probably nothing, right?

She has no idea where to find these wolves though. It probably would have been a good idea to bring Shiho along...

Just as she was considering calling her on their Limiter, suddenly she heard some rustling in the bushes. She lets go of his arm then because they probably both needed both their arms free.]

Haha! Maybe we're helping a witch brew her secret tonic!

[Fingers crossed they're not. That'd just feel a bit too ironic. Thinking a bit more seriously about it Kirishima shakes his head.]

I can't really think of anything to make with them besides jewelry, charms or maybe some sort of weapon or ritualistic uses, unless they want to check the local wolf population for cavities. Which is very unlikely.

[His head whips around in the direction of the rustling the same time as hers and Kirishima quirks an eyebrow.]

Can't be, right~? That'd be way too easy if that were one.

[She laughs at that last one.]

There's probably less painful ways of doing it than pulling out the teeth! If a dentist did that where I came from they'd be sued!

[It would be too easy, but--]

There's only one way to find out, right? [She's holding out a hand towards the bush.] Psychic Where Are You Big Bad Wolf!?

[And it's shaking even more now! Will anything come out?]

You know, saying that probably took longer than all the effort you put into shaking it.

[His eyes widen when something falls out, but- it's no wolf.

It's a boar.]
