[ It makes for an easy trek through the snow when not one but two people are like living furnaces. Pyra is, and always will be, never appropriately dressed for the weather, with the only addition to her typical outfit a long scarf she has wrapped about her neck. She doesn't need it, of course, but it was too fluffy not to wear.

Talk about your strengths with a red, the message had said. Were it only so simple. ]

I've been thinking. [ She tells him as they walk, hands linked behind her back. ] About what to wish for. And I can't seem to narrow it down to just one. [ She smiles a bit playfully. ] Think I can wish for more wishes?

[ That's probably not how it goes, and she knows it (not that she actually believes that any of these wishes will come true). Still, it makes for an interesting conversation piece. ]

Oh, and does she ever need help with something. Caroling. That is, singing. It is a quest, and it is something that needs to be done. Only, Pyra is not some sort of songstress, and if she does indeed have any memories of holiday carols from a time long past, that information is wholly blocked to her. So what else can she do but turn to another for a bit of help. ]

Here you go, Tsumugi... [ She says to him courteously, setting down a cup of tea down in front of him. Pyra had invited him to the home in Bluo to which she had been assigned, and even if their first meeting hadn't gone as smoothly as one might have hoped, she appreciates him being here nonetheless. ] So. What's the first thing one should know when singing?

[ As luck would have it, the message of Have a good time with a yellow that had appeared on her computer might not be all that difficult to fulfill. All it takes is her walking into the Flavo district and finding a Yellow and asking them for a bit of their time.

For singing, that is.

And so they are currently outside, with Pyra having built a fire to keep the both of them warm as they practice. Or rather, for him to keep warm since she's perfectly fine dressed as she is, despite all appearances. ]

...Think we should try harmonizing on that last part?

It does. Now I get it - the Rito in Hyrule are famous for singing like this. I just didn't know what it was called, I guess.

[Smiling, he seems to regain some of his typical cool-headedness.] On one hand, you're a better singer than me, so I feel like you ought to sing the melody... but on the other hand, I don't really know how to adjust the notes to make the harmony work. So... I guess I'll try to sing the melody?

[ The Rito? Hyrule? A species in his world, then, although it sounds like they might be sentient. ] That doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Now all that's left is to pick a song. [ Hm. ] I've happened to hear a few carols earlier, perhaps we could just try those?

I've heard some, too. [He taps his chin, trying to remember.] Most of them have struck me as sort of silly... there was one that was annoyingly repetitive, too... How did it go...?

[Something about... presents... and geese...?]

Or, if you remember one, we could just try that. Haha.

[ A lot of them are repetitive. ] I.... [ Hgggg. ] In all honesty, I am a little shy about singing in front of others. [ Even if singing along with them could be fun. But still, it can be embarrassing! ] So something shorter and sweeter would be nicer.

[ Thinking, thinking... ]

Maybe. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas?" It's not all that repetitive, actually. And it goes like...

[ She then proceeds to sing the first verse. ]

[What's the yuletide, and how does one make it gay? Well, whatever. It seems easy enough to remember and the tune is lovely.

Link nods and clears his throat.]

Alright. I think that's doable. [he offers her an encouraging smile.] And don't be shy - I can tell you're a much better singer than I am.

[ She grins.

Now wit that out of the way— ] Great! Now, to sing it in front of someone...

[ Hm. ] Do you have anyone you’d like to carol to in particular? [ They really just have to sing in front of one person for this to work. ]

Uh...

[The only person he can think of is the Princess, but he doesn't want to bother her with something like this. Or make a fool of himself in front of her, for that matter.

So he shakes his head.] I guess we could just... sing one song in front of a shop, or over by the well, or something.

So long as someone hears us, that will work, mm.

[ She doesn’t seem too shy about singing out in the open at least.

And then, enthusiastically, she’ll be linking her arm around his to pull him along with her. ]

Well...? Let’s go! [ GET IN, LOSER, THEYRE GOING CAROLING. ]

[HECK YES... he's actually pretty okay with this. Maybe he'll sound bad, but maybe not! And Pyra is good at singing at least.

She doesn't have to pull him for long; he falls into step with her and glances at her curled arm cautiously. She is awfully beautiful for a gesture like that, but she didn't seem to think twice about it.]

Where are we going? [as they walk, he looks around. anyone will do, right? maybe they can sing for someone nearby.]
