i. skellington

[ later that day, giorno can be seen trying to pick six good-sized pumpkins; he's being very meticulous and is trying to find long, stout ones. he's not having much luck since by the time he gets to the garden, a horde of skellingtons attempt to steal it from him. he's been summoning his stand to beat them up. ]

Hey, can we not do this? I'm in the middle of an important decision-making process.

[ he is trying to find a fifth one now. ]





ii. pumpkin-carving

[ he's never really done anything related to carving all his life unless you count that one time he caved luca's skull in!! neat!! but giorno is on a mission here. that mission entails drawing his friends' faces on the surface of the pumpkin and attempting to carve them.

it's going .... not so well!!! he lops off the tops of the pumpkins and tries to carve a face but he succeeded on making a giant hole in the middle of what was supposed to be mista's face, and giorno frowns. well, he's no artist, but he's going to do his best, and anyway none of them are here to defend their respective honour against his shitty art skills.

towards the end of the day in flavo, you might see him taking his finished masterpieces to his house!! if there are any candles around he'll put little tea lights inside of them. some of them are plainly unrecognizable, and if asked, giorno will readily say that they're his friends from home with pride. some of them, however, are of his close CR/canonmates; they all look terrible and he's not sorry. ]





iii. what's an important memory [closed]

[ he is going to approach the well apprehensively. ]

What if he comes back?

[ the 'he' in question is a photo of his father. ]





iv. italian bossip nite [canonmates] [yes that means botaro too]

[ he is going to painstakingly write the numbers in for the playing cards he found so they can get going with the game. alternatively we can all do something else, like giorno teaching you them how to flashdance or something.

they can also tell spoopy stories. ]





v. trick or treat.

[ in the spirit of the season, giorno has a huge cape draped around him that's supposed to make him .... a vampire. dundundun.

IF YOU ASK FOR A TREAT:

a - from the pumpkin seeds that giorno has in his pocket, giorno will make flowers, butterflies, four-leafed clovers, giant dandelions whose fluffs can totally be blown enthusiastically in the wind, hummingbirds/small birds, a snail, a turtle.

IF YOU ASK FOR A TRICK:

b - from the pumpkin seeds that giorno has in his pocket, he will take a handful and he will turn them into any of the following: wasps, millipedes, roaches, bats, maggots, termites, moths, and, if he's feeling really mean, a skunk. alternately you can also ask for the BODY HORROR OPTION so you can see him grow shit like jellyfish in his mouth.

[To be fair, this seems like an entirely good time to ply her best trade in existence. Or just her only actual ability. Killing undead. Skeletons included. But leave it to Aqua to mess everything up despite things being in her favor.]

I can take care of these evil things for you. While you do whatever it is you do.

[There's absolutely no concern on her end but she does give a skeleton in the distance a angry glare. It's an inborn hatred.]

[It doesn't help that she's actually standing and doing nothing to help Giorno, who is probably only minorly inconvenienced by such things.]

[ zelda stops by during the day to check on giorno as a friendly visit, but is faintly amused when she sees him struggling with the pumpkin. not that she would be any better at it, having never carved one in her life, but there's something charming to his efforts. so she approaches with a small smile, inspecting his work as he goes. ]

[Okuyasu probably brings his annotated, shitty map of Morioh to this meeting of the minds; it's cramped and has no sense of scale besides "drew all the places he likes first and therefore biggest," which is an emotional scale, certainly.

Anyway, that's somewhere, presented with pride and then forgotten about so Okuyasu can settle in and look around.... no porn on the walls still, huh.... tragique. He wants to learn cool card games, but also, bond.]

You got a roommate here or nah? [because of the porn wall thing, he can't let it go.]

[Val just hits the closest skeleton with his sword. He looks incredibly disappointed when whatever magic was holding it together seems to dissipate and he's just left with a pretty pathetic looking pile of bones.]

They don't seem to understand speech.

[While their presence had initially been unsettling simply because nothing has wandered so closely into town before, it doesn't take long for Aizawa to treat them at the threat level they deserve. It's not very high.

It's why he just kind of watches the scene unfold in front of him for a good minute before finally deciding to step in when one of the skeletons actually gets dangerously close to one of the pumpkins. Aizawa whips his capture weapon at it, the fabric wrapping itself around one of its legs before ripping the limb right off and causing it to crash into the ground.]

Why do you have so many pumpkins?

[ so, pumpkin carving. noctis is coming over with two pumpkins and having decided to share one with him, he knocks lightly on giorno's door. one good turn deserves another, right? ]

.... you can make the offer, if you wish. Though I'm pretty discerning about the type of help I get.

[ he's not exactly useless to begin with.

that being said, he's a little busy trying to fend off one of them that has clung to his knees, so he clicks his tongue and shoves the pumpkins towards her. ] Hold this.

Er, um .... I'm trying to make a friend of mine. He wears a hat in his forehead and the front part kind of extends down to his nose .... but that didn't work out well.

I know he's not here to tease me about it, but I feel bad all the same. [ sighs. ] I looked for a good pumpkin and all.

I do. Don't worry about him.

in any case giorno is busy looking at his diagram on the table. the house is actually pretty clean. hipster minimalist, but with plants. nothing odd to look at. the pumpkins that giogio had successfully carved are on display by the windows, they all look horrific or comical. he tried. ]

Alright, explain to me your little map here.

Unfortunate. But maybe it's for the best.

[ he disposes of another couple of skeletons here and there, though giorno had to transform the pumpkins into .... butterflies. all it took is for him to put his hands on the side like you would for a ball and squeeze them in. the effect is instantaneous and he is left with two monarchs, which then frees him to do battle with his stand: a gold figure of similar height and build beside him which punches whomever gets too close to giorno. ]

I have that many friends. I still need a few more.

How come you don't have one?

[ everybody is in the halloween spirit, come on. ] This is an odd tradition. We don't usually celebrate it back home. I've never carved pumpkins before, though.

[ but he watches aizawa whip out the fabric and giogio frowns. ] Hey, don't do that. That'll get dirty.

[ he opens it and looks up at noctis in surprise. ]

Hello. You've brought a friend. [ he means the pumpkin. ] Did you make that?

Ahh. I'm sure he looks quite dashing, just like your work.

[ ...wait that didn't come out right and she's just realizing it now. erk. ]

Um, would you like any help? I'm not the best myself, but we can work on it together?

[Kei doesn't say anything when he walks over, noticing the undead horde continuing to be a nuisance for everyone. He does not know what's so important that it requires to be complaining while fighting the horde, but decision-making processes are always important. And so;]

Persona.

[Briefly, a glowing blue summoning-like circle inlaid with symbols appears under his feet as the wind picks up, before the light rises into the air and reforms into a gigantic warrior woman behind him.]

Go.

[The creature floats into the air, sword first before it slams into the first one, piecing its middle cage before it them throws it to the ground, shattering the beast and right into the others standing there to knock them down. Whitish light begins to glow on their entire bodies as Divine Judgement is cast, causing some of them to be turned into bone meal.]

[ without even missing a beat: ] Mista is loud and has terrible choice of clothing all the time. He gets injured because he's rather reckless and childish, except when he has to do his job, in which case he's just reckless. Luckily for him he has a way of making things work out for him. One of my friends told me he smells. Out of respect for him whether he's here or not, I won't comment on that.

...So a malformed pumpkin does suit him?

[ she says tentatively and takes the offered seat, reaching out to one of his spare tools. ]

Maybe I'll make a pumpkin of one of my friends too then. It's a good way to remember them by - sending out a certain energy to the world at large.

[ a soft chaotic one. ]

I miss him terribly.

[ giorno smiles fondly. ] So unfortunately, he deserves better, but I'm no artist.

... I plan on having a few pumpkins displayed around the house. I'm trying to draw my friends' faces by hand and it's a bit difficult, but I do think the pumpkins would look nice with candles in them. You can do that, if you want - I think it'll make a space more charming.

They are slow but quite a predicament...

[Also not his girlfriend. The Persona disappears in a flurry of light before he nods at him, turning his back to he can better face the monsters.]

[He thinks about using his sword and doing it himself, but instead goes for another summoning, the bluish circle starting once more, but ending with quite a different Persona.]

Vishnu!

[Mirroring Kei's own movements, the Persona raises a hand and then snaps his fingers, causing ice to fall from the sky, slamming into some of the remaining beasts, but thankfully not touching the garden otherwise.]

[ oh, that's interesting. since he's busy taking care of whatever skeleton comes his way, giorno just takes his time to pick the gourds that he likes. and once he's done, and he's selected a total of ten or twelve (a couple of extras just for practice), he lumps them all in one area and .... turns them all into small cut flowers.

it's as simple as carefully patting one gourd on the top until it compresses itself, and repeating that again and again until he's got a bouquet. ]

[He watches him with interest once he's doing with the skeletons (or the group that is close enough here anyway), the Persona having disappeared behind him. At the question, he pushes up his glasses and then extended his hand.]

Kei Nanjo. Nice to meet you. May I ask yours in return?

A festive sort of look. My home never had them. We weren't really permitted to have any sort of decoration due to traditional law.

[ it was sad, but sometimes in the harvest season she would get a chance to visit the local castle town and see their displays. it made her happy back when she was young and still innocent to the world. she hums and takes one of the unused pumpkins, lifting it up and settling it on her lap. ]

I think I'll make one of... Revali. He was the, ah, bird that you saw in my picture. He would hate to be on a pumpkin most of all, so it feels fitting he get the honor.

[ a slight laugh. ] I imagine pumpkins would look ridiculous around the place, with their grins and all. But 'home' isn't always a place - you can find ones you need anywhere. Or with anyone.

[ he tries to remember what revali looked like. a bird, though .... that'd require some sort of surgery on the pumpkin. ] You'll need a beak, right? Hold on -

[ he gets a piece of a pumpkin he'd accidentally cut through with a knife and pares it down. ] Let's try and do one as accurately as possible.

Ohh. I see what you're getting at.

[ how inventive. zelda looks to the pumpkin and gets started too. she finds a center and carefully carves out an opening for giorno's creation, making sure it's big enough to wedge in but not so big that it'll fall out. ]
