Well, that's fine. It's an obelisk. According to my brother, ancient Egyptians used that shape in most of their architecture because it evoked the rays of the sun, blah, blah, blah. It's a special shape that makes it easier to work magic.

[She shrugs.]

The point is, Egyptian influence is everywhere, and Egyptian magic was usually used by the pharaohs, who were known for having lots of illegitimate kids. Which means by now there are plenty of people descended from them who can use Egyptian magic, and they live all over the world.
