you got it in one, honestly if you check out the very top of the thread where all the quests get posted up it looks like we're slowly getting the backstory filled in atm i'm thinking that the dude from bluo messed up his rainbow love hen quest in a MAJOR way and somehow got the whole town super cursed because of it but as for how that leads to something being able to pull off kidnapping all of us from across different dimensions to fix it? i'm totally clueless.
