t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? [He blinks across the room at his bookshelf, again, eyeing the embroidery before he turns around and steps back towards the door.]

There's someone who we're going to bring along, too. His world dealt with a real apocalypse. He doesn't have anyone there like we do, so I told him I'd find a way for him to fit in with us.

[Honestly, he doesn't even mind... It's better this secretary man clutches to him than gets pinned by squirrels, right? Guren's eyes are still following it, too, like he's not sure if it's going to turn around and shoot laser beams or something ridiculous.]

There are quests posted on the forums each month, too, by a username we can't connect to anyone. [Sorry this isn't very ye olde, Reim. The squirrel is gone, at least, and Guren looks back at him.] This is the first time there's been a quest that's aiming to pit us against each other... but the rest of them are pretty standard. They've been helping with the color, too, I think.

[Honestly, the cape trick seems pretty cool, so maybe this little quest thing won't be total bullshit. The forest isn't far, as strangely colored and off-putting as everything else, so Jotaro waits until they've set foot within its boundaries to ask what he's been wondering:]

Alright, so what's with the getup?

[He respects quirky fashion choices, but this is exceedingly quirky.]

[Even now, the cape seems to billow in no wind at all.

When he's questioned, he looks down at his clothes. They don't seem to have any tears where they shouldn't.]

What about it?

( guren is done in his room so yuu is also, easily following after him through the doorframe while keeping approximately two steps back. )

[It's fine. He's actually probably one of the most overpowered pieces of garbage here. He's just playing along a little to see if she'll tell him anything he doesn't know and can't see with the sharingan or rinnegan.]

I see. [This place has a handful then.] Has a leader been appointed?

[He glances over his shoulder at him as he leads him down the hallway and then down the stairs.]

Black hair, a long coat, blue eyes... He can't talk, so he uses sign language.

[...Hm. Sensitive question. Jotaro doesn't want little kids scared of him, so he decides to leave it for now, holding up another of the dresses. This one is approximately two sizes smaller than the last.]

( god he's explained this so many times already, to so many people. not that yuu minds at all, guren is someone who means a great deal to him and while he has to act bitty and rude to his face--talking about him is completely different. )

He took me in when no one else would. Guren's my family, and my boss.

( fingers fiddle with the hilt of his sword, before he starts after selina. )

Kind of. I don't listen to him.

( that works for him. sasuke can follow as he wants. he's got a name now, he'll remember him. hopefully. who the fuck knows with all his memory problems as of late. )

What's with the cloak? You hiding stuff in there?

( laptop obtained, it's time to--start heading back to guren's place. again. )

Haha, I actually sing and dance for a living! But I'll try to keep it down.

[ He puts an index finger up to his lips, as if he's just shared a grave secret. It's public knowledge in his world that he's a celebrity, but he figures that it's not important enough to talk about here. ]

( oh shit. the flush to his cheeks is near-immediate, embarrassment pretty evident on his face but.

he'll get over it. it's been a while since a little kid has clung onto him like this. )

So, uh. Do you know where you live yet?

[He doesn't know what she needs her phone for, but it's not an outrageous request, so he goes ahead and unzips the pocket, digging around for the phone.

He will manage to pull it out after a few seconds. Hopefully nothing else was in there that could fall out.]

( see look, if they hadn't responded so violently, yuu wouldn't have responded in turn: his grip tightens on the cloth immediately, fingers holding on with inhuman levels of strength. but his expression doesn't change, green eyes looking up to them curiously. )

Sorry, is this yours?

Good. [He would take care of them if they were here, Sarada and Sakura. But he prefers for them to be at home, safe. Naruto will protect them there, and this he trusts.

Carefully, fluidly, Sasuke finally rises up to his feet. The bit of wind catches him, whipping the end of the cloak, the collar of it, his hair. The empty sleeve, never pinned, catches the wind, too, but Sasuke doesn't seem bothered.] I'll do what I can.

This place interferes with the destination of my portals. I'll have to see what else it has done.

[culpa]

Oh, I didn't think it belonged to anyone because it was just laying around.

( an easy lift of his shoulders before he holds out the super nice coat, offers it over. )

Okay. I'll keep an eye out for him.

( not that he'll have any idea of what dextera is saying but he'll do his best. as yuu generally does. )

Is there a reason we're bringing him home, or? Not that it matters.

Right, well, if I have to do something potentially dangerous for a mission, then I might not be able to avoid it.

[A pause while he thinks about that. Right now the only missions he really has are "Contact Lieutenant Anderson" and "Contact CyberLife," both of which are impossible at the moment.]

Although... I suppose at the moment, my primary mission is on hold.

[This... is weird. He's never not had a mission before. Connor's brow creases, like he's confused.]

[Escort missions are the worst.]

It's good not to give yourself away to the enemy. Surprise can give you the upper hand. [Sasuke doesn't sound bothered. His right hand parts the cloak and holds it open just a tad. The sword is still there, mostly hidden behind him.

The strangest thing about it perhaps is it's located on the right side, and it's only strange if Yuu paid attention to the limp left sleeve. Sasuke must draw with his right arm and, yet, the sword is still positioned on the right.

The difficulty in drawing may be a personal challenge which says something about Sasuke without anyone having to ask questions.] You can check if you'd like.

( sasuke could have no arms and yuu may find it a little weird to have a sword with no arms, but he's seen. weirder stuff. so he doesn't comment on it, even if his eyes immediately fall to the blade, interest piqued. )

I have 10:43 AM, Eastern Standard Time. [Connor glances around, though unfortunately, there are no clocks in the vicinity.] I don't know how accurate that is, though.

[Jotaro's attitude deflates immediately, though not as much as it should--it's been a long morning, he just wants to rest (or ideally go home, like that's happening), and now it turns out that whoever's running this place expects him to live with some girl who appears to be barely any older than he is. He reaches into his jacket pocket with a sighed "good grief" and pulls out the letter that pointed him here, holding it out for inspection.]

Name's Jotaro Kujo. According to this, I live here now.

[Boruto vibes. He can't believe he left behind one rowdy soft boy and picked up another rowdy soft boy.]

( fingers wrap around the hilt of his blade with practiced ease and there's--an energy about him, notably darkish even if it isn't quite foul. )
