t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? [Wah! Though Izuku probably should've expected that he'd be caught staring like this, having All Might's attention on him so suddenly surprises him.

He still has misgivings, but in the end, it's All Might, and Izuku can't keep himself away. (That's probably why the town keeps using his mentor against him, if he thinks about it.)]

Ghost Quartz...?

[ a gem he hasn't heard of - or he hadn't until a few months ago. Lupin is an information sponge, and information from Cairngorm about their personal life and feelings, not often shared, isn't something he could forget. At once, his steps slow to a stop, and he gives them a long stare. He recalls that conversation in an instant: the "other personality" that had shared a body with them and been in control for almost their entire life. But according to them, Ghost had been destroyed a hundred years ago.

And according to them, Ghost had called them a "black thing" and not even given them a real name. Now, it's not his style to judge someone before meeting them, outside of extreme circumstances - but there is a very slight hardening in his gaze. This relationship between them is complicated, and he won't pretend to understand it, but he can't help but feel slightly defensive of his friend. He manages to keep that out of his voice, though, continuing in the same light tone. ]

... The one who shared a body with Cairngorm? They mentioned you before, but they said you were chipped off.

[ He's a little surprised to hear it, but he looks relieved. It's rather clear that the relief itself is more to do with the fact that he won't have to explain nearly as much. Butlers are firmly a luxury of nobility, so even in London, he's not unused to explaining his work, but it does get a bit tiring... Not that he would ever admit, that, of course. ]

Is it...? [ He partially interrupts to ask when Bruce mentions bowing, but his expression turns to one of light thoughtfulness at the other question. ] Why, it is 1888.

[ Though the fact that he asks does give Sebastian a good guess as to why he's asking, though it does bring a new set of questions with it. ]

I take it that is not the case for you?

To her credit, he doesn’t doubt that she can take care of herself. He’s just a little worried that she’s kind of out of it right now. ]

Do you think so? [ He’s pretty sure that fatigue isn’t the problem, from having supernatural levels of endurance. But that issue really isn’t worth pressing for him, so… ]

I'm pretty familiar. I have a lot of dealings with them, so I've done my research.

[ Count Saint-Germain also knew a lot about high society, and he'd shared a decent amount with Lupin when they started living together. But Sebastian's reaction and comment make him think this problem doesn't have anything to do with said research being insufficient. He shakes his head, holding a hand out slightly in a 'slow down' gesture. ]

This will sound crazy, but the answer might be that we're not even from the same Earth.

Or he's just weird. Weirder than Impey. A frightening possibility he's never had to consider before, but a possibility nonetheless!! ]

It is indeed a pleasure. Those who carry many names tend to be beings of great power…if they are not villains full of mischief.
