he Town is quiet this week. No sudden quests on the forum post, no roars of werewolves in the distance... just peaceful, peaceful quiet. Of course, it's hot as hell right now, but that aside, it's pretty pleasant. You probably don't want to wander around the Town right now, but... Naturally, now's when the Town is going to start thoroughly encouraging you to do just that. You do want to find your doorway back home, don't you? Better get searching! The third Robin became Red Robin. He is based predominantly out of New York. Thankfully. He’s a pain in the ass.

[When Robins don’t get along... :’)] The fourth Robin became Spoiler. She wasn’t Robin for very long. Some work with Batman but haven’t been... a traditional Robin. The Signal, for instance. Batgirl. Batwoman. Orphan.

[ Tenn is certain there's going to be some sort of catch here that means that he can't bring things home, or that they're going to wind up being poison, or something absolutely ridiculous like that -- but things have been quiet, this month; almost peaceful, and he can feel the absurd notion of hope bubbling up in his chest.

He hopes; he hopes. Having more medicine for Riku is one less worry, one less thing to feel anxiety over at night. Tenn has always worried about Riku, even if he managed to act like he wasn't for awhile (not that anyone believed him, honestly), but it's even worse in a place like this.

Like, there's werewolves, that's a lot of worry. ]

Kujo-san wouldn't approve.

[ But for Tenn... for Tenn, it's all right. It's bringing up all sorts of emotions he tries his best to keep locked away, but if he concentrates on the goal -- getting something to eat, getting medicine, getting home -- then it's all right. ]

It isn't real, so it doesn't matter.

[ The conversation fades out and he feels relieved. Being around people is difficult. When he was a child, he wasn't expected to say much. It wasn't like there was anyone around their age, either. He doesn't want to screw up, but the knowledge that he's likely to stresses him out.

He leads the way again, taking Minato up to the next floor and stopping him in the doorway. ]

If you aren't armed, you should probably stay here while I clear the floor out. That's up to you, though.

[ He can't force him to do anything, really, but the warning is important. He reaches into his now near-empty sack and holds out an injection gun. ]

If something comes and you get hurt, this will heal you.

[Saeki gets a strangely clinical once-over—for a thirteen year old boy. He takes in the uniform, the stance, whether this all matches what Saeki is giving him and whether or not Saeki seems fit to stand.] Basically a demon. Ironic you are susceptible to heatstroke.

What happens when the souls resist your “escort”?

[... Minato just shakes his head quietly, gently tugging his Evoker out of its holster, holding the gun-like object quietly.]

I can fight too. I don't want you to have to fight alone, so... let me help.

[If nothing else, he can at least watch XIII's back, right?]

You're getting sunburned. [ This answers neither of XIII's questions, but Fushimi doesn't really care about things like politesse or answering (what he finds to be) dumb questions. ]

If you already look this bad, you're not going to be able to move by tomorrow.

[ He probably could have led with an explanation of sunburn and approached it from an angle of concern, but like.

Nah. ]

Neither did I... but I guess everyone has their limits. [ Live and learn, he supposes. Even after this long, he still finds out new things all the time. For better or for worse, it keeps immortality interesting. ]

Well, we fight them. They have to go, especially if they're hurting living humans. Many of the resistant ones are malevolent or vengeful, so it's better to bring them back quickly before the living suffer from their actions.

[ It's easier with more people, anyway. They're not low enough for some of the more difficult creatures, but it's not like the upper floors are easy. ]

It's hard to say what will be here. The best thing to do is be quiet and quick.

[He absorbs it all with an air of interest, and Damian can bet that he'll be writing everything down in his notebook later. It's the last name that he gets a little stuck on, though.]

Orphan? [Izuku murmurs, slanting a curious look over at him now. It's not what someone would expect for a hero name--not that he has room to talk himself.]

Writers and coffee go together like espresso and steamed milk. It's a well-worn cliché. [ He leans forward a little, putting an elbow on the counter. ]

Maybe the owner of the cafe wanted to evoke the image of a writer finding inspiration in a coffee shop.

[For now, Riku's taking his cues from Sora, letting himself be lead around and held onto. Trying to make him more comfortable and force less of those smiles. Sure, he's had nightmares when they were younger. They all did. But to be this bothered by them...

He drops the shoes onto the ground beside Sora and let's go of his friend for the moment. Just so he can sit on the tree.]

Not all of them. But some, and sometimes they're the ones that I don't want to remember.

[Ryuu doesn't hide his frown at Tenn's words. How can someone keep another person away from their family home? However, now isn't the time to worry about the problems waiting for them at home, not when they have more things to worry about here. There's making sure to get something to eat, bringing back medicine for Riku, and other items that would be helpful. Tenn could do a good job of hiding his emotions from others, though not from Ryuu. It may not be real, though it's real enough.]

Then would you mind giving me a tour? Or do you want to wait, until we're finished?

It’s what she chose, I guess. Her skill is beyond compare, but her history isn’t exactly something people would want for thenselves. [Orphan isn’t a typical hero name for their heroes either.] She might as well be an orphan away from her old life.

Got it. I'll follow your lead.

[He'll just also make sure to protect XIII with everything he's got, it's fine.]

She sounds incredible. [There's a distant sort of look in his eyes now.]

Maybe it's what she chose because of her past. To... own it, instead of letting it bring her down.

I see. Most demons don’t care much about the living unless it benefits them. Maybe you aren’t exactly a demon. [Suprisingly, it’s less he thinks Saeki is a vicious soul-eating monster and more he is sorring away the information.] Escort then. Fair enough. What’s your name?

And can you walk? You need to get into some shade or a cooler building, or you’ll be ill.

More than likely. [Damian peers curiously at Izuku, searching the expression.] There’s no prototype of her suit here. It’s black, somewhat similiar to Batman’s in a way.

Are you going to be a fan?

Yeah. You can just dump my stuff out of it.

[Yes, he still lives out of a cardboard box. He doesn't really have anywhere to put clothes that won't end up covered in dust.

But there's no real guarantee that the stuff here is really his. He'll probably return home one day to find it all right back in the box where he left it.

So he slides the notebook over toward himself, idly opening it to where Akechi's pencil is placed while he turns to look at Sojiro's spice rack.]

[Feeling Damian's gaze on him, Izuku turns and smiles at him.] Maybe. I just thought it'd be nice to meet her. That's kind of how I ended up choosing my hero name, too.

[Then, he steps away from the display with a tilt of his head in the direction they were originally heading.] C'mon, let's go find your friend.

Keeping the balance between worlds is important. We just keep the order in our own way.

[ And then, a smile again, bowing his head a bit as he introduces himself. ] My name is Saeki. It's nice to meet you. And yours?

Mmm, right, right. I'll have to. I can walk, though. I'm not very strong, but my recovery time is quick.

[Damian doesn’t move yet. He feels almost cheated, not getting to pick his own name. And yet, the Robin name means a great deal, comes with a lot of responsibilities.] What do you mean?

What name did you pick and why did you pick it?

It's "Deku". [The smile turns a bit lopsided.] It's what the kids I went to school with used to call me. It means "useless".

[Izuku figures that, of all people in Chroma, Damian would understand why he had been called that. He hasn't really talked to anyone else about how the quirkless are treated back home in any case.]

...I don't mind. [ Not... exactly. He wouldn't have volunteered to do it, not when there's a feeling almost like pain that's seizing up his chest, but -- well, it's fine, if it's just a memory. He doesn't have to look at the photos that must surely fill the walls of the real house, now, with just Riku and no Tenn.

He wonders if his parents cut out any of his photobooks or promotional materials and kept it alongside Riku's photos. Ah, he doesn't want to think about that. ]

It isn't very big -- there's the kitchen, the living room... Our bedrooms are through here.

[Almost immediately, Damian frowns. It’s not pitying, but it is irritated. Angry on Izuku’s behalf. No one ever bullies Damian because Damian would just kick their ass.

But he has been teased despite having thick skin. Being short. Being so tight-laced.] You aren’t useless. Having a late Quirk doesn’t make anyone useless. Not having a Quirk doesn’t make anyone useless.
