he Town is quiet this week. No sudden quests on the forum post, no roars of werewolves in the distance... just peaceful, peaceful quiet. Of course, it's hot as hell right now, but that aside, it's pretty pleasant. You probably don't want to wander around the Town right now, but... Naturally, now's when the Town is going to start thoroughly encouraging you to do just that. You do want to find your doorway back home, don't you? Better get searching! [She's quiet a minute, understanding his sentiment all too well. It's different when the cage doesn't have the lion in it anymore; objectively you know it's just four walls and a ceiling without the danger in it anymore, but that doesn't mean you can just shake off the memory like it's nothing.]

...You wanna vandalize it?

[ As soon as Elizabeth had realized just what these doors actually were, she had been rather quick to go looking for a few familiar faces. They're still not quite right, since they're devoid of people, but it's still a seemingly much safer window into other worlds than her own Tears. After spending time wandering about a peaceful Battleship Bay, she had gone to find some of her friends. Either she would accompany them through their doors, or she would drag them along to hers.

She gives a little wave and a smile as soon as she sees Minato. ]

Hello. Did you— [ She starts to ask, but as she looks around, she sees that doorway and laughs a little ] Well, nevermind. Is that "your" door, I guess?

What? With what?

[He's more surprised than anything.]

[apocalypticist]

[ He nods, running his gaze over the packages of coffee. ]

Do you have Finca el Injerto coffee?

sounds good to me!!

[extrapolating]

[ As soon as she catches his attention, she starts speaking excitedly as she gestures to the door lightly while she explains. ]

Well, I don't know why it's here, but this door— Through it is something amazing. Well, not that amazing to me, since I've been there before, but it's definitely where I'm from.

[ She nods to it ]

Will you come with me? I want to test a theory I have. If I'm with someone else, something different might happen, I'd guess.

Well, I've got magic.

[She lifts a finger, which lights up with a lovely dark green glow, and proceeds to elegantly write the word DICKS in midair before letting it evaporate.]

And a knife that can cut through anything. Most anything. But these walls probably ain't shit compared to it.

Akira spots him as he's patrolling around the forest in Ruga, careful to watch for any more of those portal holes. He's found a few already, though he usually just takes a look around before leaving, unless someone is inside.

He has a feeling that's what this kid is trying to cover up, given how industriously he is spreading shrubbery around.]

What are you doing?

[He'll ask anyway, hands casually in his pockets.]

It doesn't take Prompto long to track Ignis down once he falls down the proverbial rabbit hole in the garden. (He may or may not have been looking for potatoes himself as evening approached with no sign of their usual meal-maker.) Galdin Quay is gorgeous at night, serene and romantic, and its utter stillness, the silence where there should have been the clink of silverware and the murmur of vacationers' conversation, lends it an eerie, solemn beauty.

But the hotel room is where they were. And the hotel room is where he finds Ignis. Prompto enters, then quietly pads over to the bed he slept in that night and sits on the edge.]

...You okay?

[No, wait. Flora asked it better. Head bowed, he closes his eyes.]

I mean... what's on your mind?

[Here is a boy wearing the jeans and hoodie he initially arrived in (though fairly recently washed, thankfully!). He looks like a slouch. Or like someone who's trying to fake his own death, but that would be silly.

He raises an eyebrow. Isn't this the woman that came around trying to do physicals...?]

Sure. What's up?

I mean, I did already technically destroy the whole place.

[He considers, then raises his eyebrows.]

Hey. Remember when I said I could teach you to shoot stuff?

[She has a sneaking suspicion she knows where this is going and if it is, this is going to be great.]

You absolutely did say that, yup.

Sure did! One of them seems to lead back to some sort of rendition of my estate back home. I have a collection of firearms, and I'm willing to part with one that you're accustomed to!

[It's an admission that comes sort of reluctantly, but she's not really protesting. Just owning up to something she doesn't really want to acknowledge.]

But at least this way I tried.

I feel like I should loot the place while I'm here and he's not.

[That's a dangerous admission to make, but it's easier to feel brave when someone else is close at hand, as it turns out.]

But I'm not really sure how to get at all the good stuff.

She had actually thought of writing a ransom note, something unserious and silly to hide how worried she actually was about talking to him about being a psychometer. But then what if it was too silly?

Maybe she should have just had Kaoru help her kidnap him or something.

But instead she’s telling him to meet her at the well which is where he finds her now, sitting at the edge and wondering if it was too much if she just jumped in and hid in the BABEL headquarters instead.]

Son, where I'm from, that's got all the makings of a "therefore, let's do it". Stupid, risky, no fucking clue if we can even do that to begin with.

[She shrugs a little, absently gravitating closer to him.]

That's like ninety percent of the plans I've come up with in my life, and I'm still here. What are you thinking?

[He looks as well, up on the top shelf where the really good stuff is. And there it is, a half empty bag of Finca el Injerto. He has to stretch, but he gets it down.]

Give me a minute.

[He's going to follow Sojiro's instructions exactly, because his attempts to put his own flair on it usually end in really bad coffee.]

People are probably going to look anyway, especially here... it seems to be what people do.

[ He'll ignore that, for now. (He thinks Minato needs to find his backbone at some point, though.) ]

[ Again, if you expect Caramia to wait for an answer, you're wrong. So terribly wrong. Once up the stairs, Minato is pulled through a hall filled with doors to various rooms, and they stop at one so Caramia could coax Minato to enter the most pompous looking room. Gaudy purples and plants cover the room, and there's too many hats for one man to ever need. Granted, a lot of the room looks like someone had rendered a blur over it in Photoshop a bunch, but... don't blame Caramia. He doesn't come in here often!! ]

with Estelle

[Akira has been peeking in most of the portals, largely to see if there's anything useful inside and also because he's more than a bit nosy. It's what brings him to Estelle's house, looking around the kitchen with interest.

He looks up when Estelle enters, nodding at her greeting.]

It's a nice house.

[For what it's worth, Minato isn't even asking. He's just nodding along curiously, expression contemplative, and while he sneaks a few glances around, for the most part he keeps his eyes on Damian.

Mostly because Damian seems very nervous.]

I think so. It seems as though there are a few--this isn't the first one I've [fallen into] stumbled across. ...Though it had the longest drop.

[Then Minato would've been kidnapped twice in Awash, and that's the start of a trend. Nobody wants that.

But. It's fine. Minato gets the message when he's thankfully resting inside (read: hiding from the sun), and so he's quick to respond, acknowledging the message and accepting the meeting. And after that, he'll quickly go to meet her in the meeting location (despite the aforementioned melting), hair clipped back and out of his face for once as if to try to keep himself a bit cooler.

It's...working a little, sort of.

He's still quick to lift a hand from his pocket to wave when he sees her--too late to escape now, Shiho.]

[Compared with the relatively pleasant places he's wandered into so far, this one pulls Akira up short.

The town is on fire, and judging by the smell, there are few survivors to explain why. The blood is everywhere, and Akira goes on guard, ready to transform and pull out his Persona if any enemies appear. But despite the sound of burning, the town seems mostly quiet...

He's so absorbed that he doesn't notice Joshua sneak up on him, which is pretty unusual. He doesn't jump, though, just turns.]
