ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. Please feel free to ask any questions here and don't forget to greet your fellow players here!

We can find out what happened. It may take time. If her things are missing, my hypothesis is she hasn't vanished simply from the town. She's gone from this place entirely.

[Kirishima throws in without any heat but also in a tone that stands to what he's saying. Still, he actually ends up flashing Damian an amused smile when the boy suddenly seems to go out of his way to show him some respect.]

Hey, careful there! Right now your attitude towards me was almost decent for the first time ever since we met! Keep going and somebody might think you don't actually despite my "powered" ass!

[Laughing to himself he shoves his hands into his pants' pockets and shakes his head.]

Ashido would be sad if you won't let her call herself an alien. On the other hand, she can't go and keep calling herself "Alien Queen" due to copyright issues anyway...~ and she's one of the best people I've ever met!

[Shooting Damian a smirk he stops walking and raises an eyebrow.]

Who said I was gonna protect you?

Admittedly not what I expected for a first meeting conversation... I have a lot of abrasive friends.

[He barks out a laugh as he crosses his arms, grinning with those shark teeth. There's not a thing in the world that can break through his Ultimate Shield (the trick, you see, is to change its composition), but that doesn't mean he can't be shoved or forced back.

So in one sense, no, Kirishima doesn't land any hits, because there's no blood drawn, no real serious injury. But Greed's forced to leap this way and that, skidding back time and again as those blows land heavy on him. The kid is good, more than worth the fight, and he laughs as they move.

And of course, he gives back just as good as he gets. His claws land on the kid with no mercy, though if they manage to smash through his shield (if), he'll try not to draw an obscene amount of blood.

But sooner or later, Greed skids to a halt. He's grinning fiercely, laughing, delighted by this kid.]

Yeah, I bet you do.

[But no, he is. He wraps one thick arm around her waist (and give him this credit, at least; he doesn't try and touch anything he oughtn't), his grip firm. His other hand, black and clawed, extends, and he hums softly as he readies himself.

It just takes one giant leap, one burst of power and exertion, before he's slamming his fingers into the wall. They hang there, safe as can be, as he turns with a grin to the girl in his arms.]

Hang on, now. I gotta use both hands, so yours go around my neck.

Sure. That'd work. But--

[He leans in, grinning in a particularly unpleasant kind of way.]

--I collect. Don't think you can run out on me, hmm?

Ruga? Sure am.

[Sometimes he'll be in Flavo, depending on where his companion is, but yeah, mostly in Ruga.]

...I hope we're calling him Mr. F because he's the reason this place is all F'd up.

The black and the white one? I wasn't sure what happened to them after...whatever happened. [The destruction of the universe.] It has been a while since I've seen you, Dirk. I don't know what kind of battle happened after that.

[Is that a snort of laughter? Maybe! Sorry. He definitely can't call her on if it's a lie or not so he leaves it alone, not really focused on the fact that he's so used to flying by now that footsteps are for chumps.

Still. The colors are kind of nice and it's a reminder that this place totally sucks.]

How long do you think you can make it last? [Because there's...a bit of bad news here.] The colors are kind of cool.

Unfortunately, we're not able to tell which just yet. We're not informed what or how many quests give us exactly which rewards.

... We all have one in the houses, and we use them to communicate. It's also where we find the quests.

[What was he supposed to do!! Honestly, should've given him a blindfold or something if that was every going to succeed. He doesn't seem possessed or anything, no... it could be that he's too out of touch to realize, but probably not.]

In the meantime, though, Selina's still gearing up to hit the streets again. Her eyes catch his hand as he leans down to grab her other boot, an eyebrow raised curiously-- just what is he planning on doing with that? ]

Waking up in an icy cold bath of well water is about as far from a warm welcome as you can get, but I've been through worse. [ But, the kid's being polite. Being a gracious host despite the fact she's an unwanted guest. ] Are you... sure about that?

[There's a knowing sort of nod.] Seems like a solid strategy. Ever scale anything this big before? The interior's pretty slick but there should be enough handholds on the way up if you're fast.
