t's another day, another month, and another time for people to show up in the well. You'd better go rescue them! Never mind the fact that you woke up with a flower in your hands.

It's probably fine. Don't mind it at all. It's not like it's hard to ignore a little flower.

(At least, not until the effects start to kick in. Better go rescue the people in the well before they do.)

Oh, right. Even the people in the well have flowers, so... things are going to be a little ridiculous very quickly, when all of those side effects kick in. Have fun!

Senior Mo, huh? That sounds like him.

[ He reaches out to lightly pat on Lan-shaoxia's shoulder. There, there. ]

Did he play nasty tricks on you, too? I'm sorry. I promise that he doesn't mean anything bad by them. I'm certain he doesn't think much at all when he's doing things.

I wouldn't say he played tricks on us. He helped us without us knowing for certain at Mo Village, then told us how he'd figured out what the monster on Dafan Mountain.

[Before having to call a fierce corpse to help]

I suppose he did kind of trick us in Yi City... but it was just so we'd learn. Though the spicy congee probably wasn't necessary.

Ah? He did things like that, then.

[ He laughs a little. ]

He really is someone who does his best for everyone, hm? And that spicy congee of his... really makes you long for death. [ A person shouldn't say that so cheerfully -- they really shouldn't say it like that!! ] You've traveled with him for a long time, hm?

I'm glad that a dear friend is here to be with him, then.

He did. There was a ghost outside the house where we were. He looked first and saw her. He didn't tell us anything about her, but made us all look outside and not tell others so they wouldn't be prepared for it. It was... shocking, but it was good for us to have done.

Yes, it does. Lan JingYi really wished for it when he had to eat it. Corpse poisoning. He and the others were okay after eating the congee, but none of them wanted to.

I wasn't traveling with him. I was leading a group of Lan juniors. We were lured to Yi City-

[There was an odd buzzing noise somewhere near SiZhui's ear and despite proper etiquette, he waved his hand trying to make it go away. It sounded like "szzzzzzz"]

Where we ran into Senior Wei and HanGuang-Jun.

Hanguang-Jun?

[ He pauses as he notices the mosquito flying around near them. Ah?

Don't.

But his hand is already taking a swing to try to hit it. Dodge that, Lan-shaoxia!! ]

[Oh! Good thing SiZhui was trained to fight walking corpses which weren't necessarily slow and certainly not predictable. He quickly dodged to the side easiest to get out of Shen Qingqiu's way as he swatted at the insect]

Maybe.

[ He looks at his hand.

Szzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Lifting his head up, he hears the buzzing -- but then anyone could.

He makes his addendum to his earlier belief: ]

No! I missed!

[Well, it was going to be SiZhui's turn to give it a try once he spotted where it was. He took a swing at it, careful to make sure he wasn't going to hit Shen Qingqiu. After he made the swing he paused, listening]

I might have gotten it? We will hear if it comes back.

[He really hoped that was not buzzing he heard...]

[ Szzzzzzzzz. ]

It is quite tenacious. Or ... is it the same one?

[ Could cultivators' blood really be that delicious to drink? ]

We're only lucky these aren't demonic mosquito.

[Yep... that was buzzing he heard of course. Inwardly he sighed. It was still there]

It's hard to tell. They are a little small to distinguish. I certainly hope they are not filled with resentful energy. The consequence might be a little disturbing.

Perhaps they are attracted to this spot? Maybe we should move to see if that helps.

[ He wonders what the consequence would be.

His inner heart-self is sighing loudly. He's sighing so loud. He sat and read every book on Qing Jing Peak to ensure that he was not some idiot. And here he is, acting like an idiot!! Why? What did he do to deserve this. ]

If it had that much resentful energy in it... the damage that it could do would really be something, don't you think? [ He makes a small come-come gesture as he starts walking into the Bluo district. ]

The damage could be extensive if it was able to transmit resentful energy. [SiZhui really doesn't like that idea. Could it potentially make people ill with resentful energy if it did?

He didn't need to be told twice following Shen Qingqiu into the Bluo district. Oh look... water. At least a boat wasn't required to get around it]

Mmn! It would be quite troublesome!!

[ He points down to the water. ]

Also, I hate that. Please stay away from the water, if you could.

[He looked down at the water]

The water? I would like to avoid it as well. Is there something specifically wrong with the water?

It isn't natural.

[ Such a cheerful response!! ]

You see it more at the harbor... actually it's definitely at the harbor that you see it. It's really no good.

[It was surprisingly cheerful for talking about this. There was a weird disconnect there]

So the water tries to hurt people? As if it has a mind of its own?

It isn't anything like that. [ Fucking god. ] It is ... black and unmoving ... the very feel of it if you touch it is... unnatural. Furthermore, there are tentacle creatures and other dangerous monsters in the water!

Oh... that is very disturbing. I do not like it just from your description without actually seeing it. Hmm... creatures like certainly don't help.

[Luckily it meant boats were probably out]

[ He links arms with Lan-shaoxia. It makes him on the inside die a little. This is not the sort of behavior he should just do! Sure, sure!! Some of his disciples do this with him, but he shouldn't do it back! Especially to a stranger! God!!! ]

If there are more like HanGuang-Jun and Senior Wei then those here will be very safe.

[He of course noticed as Shen Qingqui linked arms with him. How could he not. But he still didn’t object. It was not something random seniors should have been doing, but again, maybe it was just his way or like him he was being affected by something]

[ His voice is way too bubbly. But at least, they're starting to walk around Bluo to be able to look for the disciple's house. Then you can wave bye-bye to this overly pink, overly cutesy elder. Please... think well of me before I send myself into orbit. ]

And there is now you here, too. [ He looks around. ] Finding places is really hard sometimes... what general information did the letter give you as to where you're living?

[Rather than reciting it from memory and possibly messing it up, he reached into his sleeve and produced the letter (luckily it had been in the arm Qingqui held so he could use his free hand to retrieve it). He read it aloud before offering it to Qingqui to look at if he wanted to see it]

[ Looking it over, he makes small mm-mm!!

In his heart, Shen Qingqiu breathes in deep and holds his head. ]

I know where this is. [ Oh, fucking shit. I wasn't sure for a second! It really feels like having an outer body experience. He has no idea how else to explain it. ] Let's go!

Oh good! [He smiled and replaced the letter. Probably a good thing he didn't know all the internal conversations that Qingqiu was having in his head] Yes, let's go. You have been very helpful.
