t's another day, another month, and another time for people to show up in the well. You'd better go rescue them! Never mind the fact that you woke up with a flower in your hands.
It's probably fine. Don't mind it at all. It's not like it's hard to ignore a little flower.
(At least, not until the effects start to kick in. Better go rescue the people in the well before they do.)
Oh, right. Even the people in the well have flowers, so... things are going to be a little ridiculous very quickly, when all of those side effects kick in. Have fun!

Her cheeks flush with embarrassment.
"... What was your name again?"
no subject
"You are cursed by a flower too, aren't you. I am called Tonbokiri. I live in the same house as you..." And thinking of the lady's particular attitude towards certain situations, "I shall have to be particularly cautious for the next few days, won't I."
Actually, finding someplace to be alone for the next few days is sounding better and better.
no subject
... or why came I out here." Dang it.

An idea occurring, he taps his fist to his palm. "Find something to write with, and make yourself notes so that you don't forget in the midst of what you're doing."
no subject
She trailed off. Having forgotten his name, again. Would she even remember what he told her to do?
no subject
Tonbokiri frowns slightly, the magically-induced desire to be alone warring with his personal good-sense to help her. The fact that he is being reluctant is so unlike him, he can only hope that that will be one thing she won't remember when this is over.
"I... will help you, Maribelle-dono. Please, start by walking home." He'll trade the hoe for his spear and start walking behind her.
no subject
At least she's clearly embarrassed by all this. Her memory may keep vanishing, but her pride is there! ... And dying a horrible death.
no subject
Looking at the expression on Maribelle's face, Tonbokiri knows to not say anything... Not that he would, but he'll be doubly cautious now.
"The house straight ahead, over there." He points out their house, rests his spear on his shoulder, and takes the lead.
"This is a terrible curse we are afflicted with this time, isn't it." But he can't help but feel proud, and relieved, that he can help someone even while in this condition.

A compliment never goes amiss with her, certainly. Perhaps it will cheer her up.

Lifting a hand to his chin he muses, "While you are normally more than able to deal with any situation, I worry about leaving you alone in this condition, Maribelle-dono. It would do neither of us any good if you think me a strange man in your home. However you might unintentionally put yourself in danger if you are alone."

His concern for her is staving off his own magic curse for now, but he worries if he'll eventually be driven to leave her alone... Would notes be enough?
"Though perhaps you would be more at ease to stay with another, lady, comrade?"
no subject
More questions pile up in her head, getting worse and worse.
no subject
He gives her a sympathetic smile.
"Do not press yourself too hard, Maribelle-dono. Just concern yourself with the task in front of you for now." And as they have now arrived home, that task becomes- "Let us find some things to write with."

His hands instinctively start reaching out towards her shoulders to stop her, but he draws back and speaks instead.
"Yes. You are Maribelle. '-Dono' is a term of respect in my country. Now, hold there a moment and face me." He weighs his tone with the utmost seriousness, so that hopefully she will not question him. Because, shamefully and unfortunately, he is afraid to confront her so directly.
"We must rid this house of all flowers. Including this one you have on your person." He indicates the flower in her hand.
no subject
"I can't imagine why you want it, but all right." Yep, she's forgotten what the flowers do.
no subject
Holding out his palms towards her he shakes his head. "I do not want it either, actually. But if you would, please place it outside. If you do so, perhaps your memory will improve."
He suspects it will not cure the curse, if his own experience is much to go by, but at least the effects might lessen to the point she will not forget her own name so easily...
no subject
He means planting it in the garden, right? That shouldn't take too long! She walks on ahead...
... And within a few seconds of putting it in the dirt, she slaps a hand to her face. "My word, what have I been doing all day? I sounded like a complete fool!"
no subject
At her exclamation he sighs in relief, even as he worries- she will remember his hesitation, then.
"You were clearly not your normal self, Maribelle-dono. Please do not dwell on it."
Says the spear who wishes to be broken over the shame of his cowardly behaviour today.
no subject
She might harp on this for a while.
no subject
"Not at all. I'm certain everyone will realize it was simply the flower's curse. Now, if you are feeling better, I shall have to excuse myself and return to the field."
no subject
"Oh, of course. Allow me to help you out there, to make up for this waste of time!"
