t's another day, another month, and another time for people to show up in the well. You'd better go rescue them! Never mind the fact that you woke up with a flower in your hands. It's probably fine. Don't mind it at all. It's not like it's hard to ignore a little flower. (At least, not until the effects start to kick in. Better go rescue the people in the well before they do.) Oh, right. Even the people in the well have flowers, so... things are going to be a little ridiculous very quickly, when all of those side effects kick in. Have fun! Chroma has seen fit to grant me a flesh body. My own lies in a tomb elsewhere.

Oh? It can do that? Well, it must be able to because you are here. The kind of powers Chroma must have are incredible.

If it is not rude to ask, was it recent? If you don't wish to answer, I understand.

My death took place some two millennia ago. Do you suspect me of being a fierce corpse?

I was curious at first. That's how people can come back in my world. The stronger they are, the more they can interact. The Ghost General was said to be able to carry on intelligent conversation.

But two millennia... that's certainly too long. A few years is too long.

I suppose all that can be done is to marvel at the abilities this place has. That is if you wanted to come back.

My time among the living ended long ago.

[He had never harbored any desire to come back to life, but cursing his circumstance here would serve no purpose. Pushing off his knees, he stood from his seat.]

But you desire immortality. To what end?

It is a thought that has crossed my mind. They talk of cultivators who become very strong being able to stop aging. I suppose... if I did, I would be a teacher. Who better than someone who has lived for so long?

But it is speculation. I have met no one who has been able to achieve this and in a few years I may not want something like that.

[And since they have just been here talking...]

[Somnus raised a hand as though to halt SiZhui. No need for that.

The boy was young; this, he could see. Barely a man, the answer SiZhui gave was uncertain yet thoughtful still. Most who sought power, including that of longevity, would have done so for themselves.]

I have nothing more to ask. My decision remains. What's left of this house is yours to claim.

[Well, SiZhui had already brought up an equal split of the living space. Since the other still insisted that SiZhui have control of the remaining living space, he couldn't rightly keep insisting to the contrary. So he just smiled and nodded]

[With the living space now in SiZhui's hands, there was no reason to loiter. Somnus moved, going into one of the rooms in the house with the intention of retiring, if in a sleepless fashion. Between the two of them, this was sure to be a quiet residence.]
